Pie™
Just now as I was listening to the song Frankie Teardrop by the post-punk band Suicide, I realized just how disturbing the song is, and I wondered if there are any other songs that's twisted and scary in the same bone-chilling way. Frankie Teardrop consists of a constant drum beat from a machine, and the "singer" narrating the story of a troubled young man. The soundscape he creates isn't directly nasty, but it's so intense that it sends shivers down my spine. Do anyone else know any songs that simply sound scary (I don't want scary lyrics or nasty imagery, I've got enough of that from before) and really makes you feel frightened? If so, post them here, lyrics are optional. Frankie Teardrop Lyrics

Boba Rhett
The music video for Blackhole Sun makes the song disturbing. Does that count? It's been a while since I've listened to it but Hotel California is kinda weird too, isn't it?
Bob Lion54
Michael Jackson - "Beat It"... I couldn't resist.... Damn, beat me too it. hehe ...... It's been a while since I've listened to it but Hotel California is kinda weird too, isn't it? Yea, I've heard so therories about its meaning. My favourite is its about an insane asylum. Seems to fit better than the others I've heard. It is pretty freeky when you listen to the lyrics.

CapNColostomy
I always thought the song Jizzlobber by Faith No More had an eerie sound to it. Pretty much everything about it.
TiE23
Ahh, I like Hotel California. Its is creepy, but its cool. Now Stairway to Heaven is a messed-up song, not scary, but really weird. And if you look around, there is a "subliminal message" in it. Notice the "_" 's Edit: Also, Technologic by Daft Punk, well, thats not a scary song, but I think it would freak-out any person who is learning english after telling them that we can understand the lyrics. DarkStarMojo
The Beatle's "I Am the Walrus" is one funked up song. "Yellow matter custard dripping from a dead dog's eye." Really, now isn't that some freaky imagery? I don't want to know what was going on inside Lennon's head when he wrote that.

Really, now isn't that some freaky imagery? I don't want to know what was going on inside Lennon's head when he wrote that. For one thing, Lennon was either high or tripping or both while he wrote that song. He admitted it, even. Secondly, I think that phrase is actually taken from some old primary school rhyme that he and McCartney had to learn. He twisted it a bit, yeah, but that's because he's John Lennon. Goo goo ga joob. Darth Groovy
Alice Cooper: Ballad Of Dwight Fry "Mommy where's daddy he's been gone for so long do you think he'll ever come home I was gone for fourteen days I coulda been gone for more Held up in the intensive care ward lyin' on the floor I was gone for all those days but I was not all alone I made friends with a lot of people in the danger zone See my lonely life unfold I see it every day see my only mind explode since I've gone away I think I lost some weight there and I I'm sure I need some rest Sleepin' don't come very easy in a straight white vest Should like to see that little children she's only four years old old I'd give her back all of her playthings even even the ones I stole See my lonely life unfold I see it everyday see my lonely mind explode when I've gone insane I wanna get outta here I wanna get outta here I I've gotta I've gotta get outta here I I gotta get out of here I gotta get out of here I gotta get outta here I gotta get outta here Ya gotta let me out of here let me outta here I gotta get outta here I gotta get outta here See my lonely life unfold I see it everyday see my only mind explode blow up in my face I grabbed my hat and I got my coat and I I ran into the street I saw a man that was choking there I guess he couldn't breathe Said to myself this is very strange I'm glad it wasn't me But now I hear those sirens callin' and so I am not free I didn't wanna be I didn't wanna be I didn't wanna be see my lonely life unfold I didn't wanna be Leave me alone I didn't wanna be don't touch me see my lonely mind explode when I've gone insane" I have a severe case of clausterphobia, and the idea of being locked up in a streight jacket inside a padded room really creeps me the Hell out. Also, a close second would have to be The Cure's "Lullabye". "on candystripe legs spiderman comes softly through the shadow of the evening sun stealing past the windows of the blissfully dead looking for the victim shivering in bed searching out fear in the gathering gloom and suddenly! a movement in the corner of the room! and there is nothing i can do when i realise with freight that the spiderman is having me for dinner tonight quietly he laughs and shaking his head creeps closer now closer to the foot of the bed and softer than shadow and quicker than flies his arms are all around me and his tongue in my eyes "be still be calm be quiet now my precious boy don't struggle like that or i will only love you more for it's much too late to get away or turn on the light the spiderman is having you for dinner tonight" and i feel like i'm being eaten by a thousand million shivering furry holes and i know that in the morning i will wake up in the shivering cold and the spiderman is always hungry..." IG-64
The sky is falling, the sky is falling We're all gonna die! We're all gonna die! The sky is falling, the sky is falling We're all gonna die! We're all gonna die! The world was good, ever since it's birth But now it's the end (The end of the earth!) The sky is falling, the sky is falling We're all gonna die! We're all gonna die! The sky is falling, the sky is falling We're all gonna die! We're all gonna die! It just seemed like another boring day But as you can see We're all blown away! The sky is falling, the sky is falling We're all gonna die! We're all gonna die! The sky is falling, the sky is falling We're all gonna die! We're all gonna die! We all were confused when the animals fled But now we know why 'Cause now we're all dead! The sky is falling, the sky is falling We're all gonna die! We're all gonna die! Song I made up one time.
DarkStarMojo
For one thing, Lennon was either high or tripping or both while he wrote that song. He admitted it, even. Yeah, I figured. It's just of all the songs they wrote while they were tripping, this one actually leaves me feeling disturbed. I'm surprised no one's mentioned this yet, even though it's not a song, but the music from Deliverance is pretty creepy, probably in part because of the movie itself.
