Windu vs. Palpatine, just for the moment Palpatine loses his saber and starts backing towards the wall...with a look of utter and complete terror on his face. So much for Sith Lords not knowing fear.

I actually voted for Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon against Maul. The music, the fight over all, it just was great. I would have chosen Anakin and Obi-Wan of course, but there is something about the duel in TPM that I just like.

Well thank you I s'pose, but I always think of Vader as the dude in the pimp-black suit. Though technically he was Vader when fighting Obi-Wan. Oh well.

Obi-wan vs. Vader. and not just for the fight itself but also for the emotional impact itself. definately a great moment, not just in Star Wars, but also a great moment in movies.

Why? It's one of those few times in movie history where the hero gets his ass handed to him and the greatest plot twist in history was revealed during that duel.

While I agree with lukeiamyourdad about it being one of the greatest scenes in movie history, for pure kick a$$ battling I still have to go with Obi-wan vs. Anakin. The Kenobi-Ginn-Maul battle takes a close second. I am still in awe of Maul's facial expressions as he clashes with 2 Jedi and more than holds his own.

I thought that it was pretty awesome how a double-bladed saber guy could hold up with two Jedi. A saberstaff seems so hard to control. And then holding two of them back? Thats pretty damn tough. Oh yeah, I voted for Obi-Wan v. Vader

Gah! I like the Yoda v Palpatine AND the Maul v Obi & Qui-Gon AND the Obi v Anakin/Vader!

 

Soo...Hard...To choose...

 

You forgot Obi-Wan vs Grievous, though.

No one would vote for it, but anyway...

Grievous sucked.

I voted for Obi-Wan vs Vader, because the fight was so intensely emotional. We all remember Anakin as little Jake Lyod, and the loving husband of Padme.

To see him charge (in my opinion) the nicest Jedi, just shocked me.

 

I watched it in the cinema, and the suspense....unbelievable.

You know one of them can not leave ( We DO know, but stay with me) this place alive. The lava is boiling everywhere, and the two duelists are getting nearer and nearer to the surface. And still that terrible conflict...

 

The finale of the fight (Chop chop) was even harder. Just the...emotion ('You where the chosen one!' and 'I hate you!') when the duel is ended...

 

All i mean to say is, we didn't know how episode 6 ended. We did know about 3.

If episode 4-6 wren't made before Episode 3, it would easily equal the greatness of the 'Daddy-scene'

Maul vs. Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon is the most impressive

 

Luke vs. Vader 1 is the most emotional.

 

I'll go with Luke and Vader.

 

Out of RoTS I liked the Obi-Wan and Anakin duel the least. It just seemed to me that they were more concerned about how many times their sabers could hit the other's in any given second rather than the force behind their strikes. That and floating over the lava was stretching it a bit far for me. Granted there was emotion, but as far as the actual fighting it seemed all flash and no substance.

Obi-Wan Vs Vader i think was the best just for the epicness. We knew it was coming the for the entire prequal trilogy and instead of being disappointed actually lived up to what we were expecting. Luke Vs vader pt 2 was also great, so second, and i loved it the first time palpatine pulled out his lightsabre against Mace, third.

You know what I would have loved to see: a fight between 2 double-bladed lightsaber duelists. That would be so intense. And BTW the reason I didn't put in Grevious v. Obi-Wan: Wasn't so much of a duel as just blocking the lightsabers. It lasted like one minute (pretty awesome to see one lightsaber kick four lightsabers asses though). This is the same reason I didn't put Jinn v. Maul when they both used single.

Whenever I envisioned a KoTOR movie, I always pictured Darth Bandon vs. Bastila.

plus it saved TPM from being really sh*te.

The Phantom Menace was a complete oposite of s**t. It was really well done and I believe that such a thing would be very hard to do. And yet it was done in a tremendous way.
