My worst injury? When I got hit by a car in 1995, I woke up in the hospital after a 5 day coma. They told me I had a multiple concussion <I was'nt wearing a helmet or anything, they said if I had landed 2cm differently I would have died.> and a face 90% covered in road rash <Im not kidding>.

Oh yeah and one time I was sitting on a hammoc with my friend when the hammoc pin busted and flew at the back of my head <My doctor said the velocity was the same as a bullet, and I was lucky that it only grazed off my dome and didnt actually penetrate it. > I ended up getting eight staples. Ugh.

Take your pick, either way I'm pretty damn lucky to be here. hahahah.

the time when I cracked about 2 inches of my head open

About the same. Fell off a chair when I was real young & smacked the corner of a wall. 6 stitches down the top of the forehead. Never could get a proper mohawk because of that scar.....

A face plant off a skateboard. I was riding down a hill & got stopped by a rock to the wheel, then face slide. Road rash all down one side of my face & tore the hell out of my knuckles too. The upside was my parents let me stay home from school the next few days, so I got to spend them skating. Good Times...

Bwaaaaaaa that's so wrong.....hahahahaaaaaaa. I did'nt get out of school and my face was almost completely covered with road rash. Come to think of it now I wish I had pictures of that because I dont have the battle scar to prove it <Not that I'm complaining, I'm glad to have a decent face instead of a horribly scarred one.>.

While opening a new 3-ft patch cable to hook up an effects processor for my guitar rig, the Leatherman i was using to cut the plastic tie off of the cable slipped and i jammed the entire length of the blade into my left hand just under the bone at the bottom of my index finger, across my palm to lodge against the last bone extending down from my pinky where it meets the wrist. i somehow managed to miss every major tendon and flexor in my hand. on the brighside i got to see first-hand (no pun intended) how everything in my hand works, which was exactly as fascinating as it was terrifying and disgusting.

I had about... 4 serious injuries, that I recall so far.

The first one was in December of 1998. There was snow and the football fields and the basketball fields were frozen from the coldness. During that time I was in the 2nd grade and was pretty irational and so... I got out during a long pause and started to skate across the basketball field, with my snickers. Suddenly, I bumped into a giant 8th grader and fell on the ice, hurting my head. Man that hurt... I lost my conciousness for a second and immediatley got up and started crying. I puked during that day 5 times. Later we figured out that it was a brain concussion, it wasn't really pleasant to be awake during that day, since I puked every hour.

My second one was also a brain concussion, but it wan't that bad.

My third injury, in my opinion the worst, happened when I was about 11 years old. It was a sunny July day and my family and I decieded to go ride bicycles like we do when we have the free time and when we feel like it. So anyway, we were riding our bicycles and I enjoyed riding the bicycle. I lost my focus for 2 seconds, when my sterrers lost control and it turned suddenly to the right, making the bicycle fall down. I fell with the bicycle, banging by head into the asphalt. I ended up with a broken nose and I bleeded for about 3 hours. It wasn't really pleasant either.

The final injury occured not long ago, about when I was 13 years old. I have a chair near my desk that is like those doctor chairs in their offices, the ones with adjustable heights of the back and with the wheels. Anyway, I was playing the computer, and from time to time I pulled back to relax myself. My chair was really unstable and it could have fallen apart any minute. I pulled myself back from the monitor a bit fast, when suddenly: The back of the chair departed from the chair falling down. I couldn't hold myself anymore and I fell off the chair, landing my back on the, rather sharpened part which is used to connect to the chair. I fell on that part and it made a bleeding region into my flesh, nearly touching the spasm. That hurt me the most... Luckily the sharpened part didn't do much, it just made me bleed a little.

I don't know if it counts, but I had to go to an operation to take out a unimportant, but very dangerous part of the organism (I don't know how it's called in English, but it's in the right part of the stomach, called somehing like: 'Blind tube' sort of), which nearly blew apart. If I hadn't taken the operation on time, I would have been dead. That one was when I was 13 also.

That's all I could remember...

I dont think this should be just limited to fractures... how about ones brain getting fried :( I was diagnosed with epilepsy in 1997. Have to take 7 tablets a day to control it, and luckily havent had a seizure in nearly 3 years - I count myself as extremely fortunate... Still, I dont want to thing about how things will pan out in the long term.... thats why I try to enjoy today !! (so, what am I doing here !!!!) :D

well, its not too hard for me think about my worst injury. i was at a LAN party with a couple of friends a couple of years ago, and one of them had a water-cooled rig. to make a long story short, somebody managed to disconnect one of the lines connected to the resevoir. Of course, this caused a lot of water (and a bit of antifreeze) to spill all over the floor, including the power strip. it just happened to be my luck that i was not only sitting next to the computer that had the disconnect, but i was also barefoot. lets just say that i 'felt the power', hehe....

@achilles do women still think it's sexy after you tell the story or do you lie and attribute it to fight and/or lightsaber?

Got cool scar on my lip that women think is sexy for some reason.

Man, how come guys with scars are sexy but girls with scars aren't? Haha guess I'm glad I dont have and facial scars.

I do have this bitchin scar <its on the side of my arm near the bicep, > thats shaped like a crescent moon.

My brother was using a hot air gun <400 degrees> and whammed the nozzle into my arm by accident.

Worst burn I've ever had, but I really dig the scar it left behind....hahahaaa.

Girls with scars can be sexy...

Anyway, I haven't really had too many injuries, I guess the worst one would be when I fractured/broke my knuckles on my left hand about a week ago when I was sparring with my friend. First I clipped him on the side of his head guard, then he dodged my second punch and I hit the balcony post full force breaking my knuckles.

Talk about a geek accident! :xp:

I never really got seriously injured. Just a couple of good bruises from cross-country riding which occur when the horse decides to let you jump the obstacle without him and some other well deserved contusions from trying stupid ski tricks.

My worst injury.....happened this august, I blew out the entire lower lumbar region of my back at the gym, I overlifted, and havent been able to work out since. My weight has gone from 220, to 190.......bummer. Doc told me I cant work out again till at least thanksgiving. for three weeks i was confined to my bedroom, barley crawling to the toilet. Now I can walk and do everything again pretty normally, just cant lift yet. Although it still takes me 20 minutes to sit up and get out of bed without pain.

The only ones I can think of are just big scratches. One time, when I was a little bit younger than I am now, I was scrambling around on my cousin's brick fence. Unfortunately, he didn't tell me that the fence was rather unstable. Another of my friends was coming to try and get me, and came through the gate which was perpendicular to the fence. He went through, and I tried to go on the other side of the gate. Well, as I grabbed on to the edge of the gate, a peice of it broke off. Most of my body went backwords, except for my leg, which went on the other side, ad pretty much hooked on about three bricks. They came falling down, but not before they had left several beautiful long, deep red lines on my leg. Then I landed straight on my back from about 5 feet off the ground. Doesn't really compare with some of the stuff already mentioned, of course, it was just the one thing I could think of. (Although it stung like hell that night).

Either a severely stubbed toe (blood everywhere) or a very sore back. I've never broken or sprained anything. Probably the injury that hurt the most was when I got a helmet to the schin while playing football last year, but the pain didn't last and I went back into the game only a play later.
