BongoBob
Apparently ALOT are having problems after 0-10 minutes of gameplay. http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=462099&st=0 I'm glad I'm waiting until they iron out all the kinks : |
Rogue Nine
Launch consoles always have yucky issues that make them so not worth the money and hassle. Waiting and saving money while they work out the kinks is ftw.
Master_Ginn
You guys seeing the stuff on ebay. Core systems are going for $10,000. Well that was just one, but i would be pissed if i bought a Xbox 360 for $10,000 and it didn't work right. Although the seller could have made other accounts and raised the bidding. But in my opinion if you pay $10,000 for a videogame system, you deserve to have it not work.
ET Warrior
People are out of control. It would've been a pretty profitable venture to get myself a 360 and sell it on Ebay. I'll probably wait till January before I even think about buying one.
narfblat
The delay of TES IV: Oblivion appears to be beneficial to some of its fans - they may have decided to wait till its release in early 2006 to buy the Xbox 360. By that time, many of these issues will be fixed(hopefully).
swphreak
Launch consoles always have yucky issues that make them so not worth the money and hassle. Or maybe Microsoft just sucks... oh wait, it does. I bought a GameCube the first day it came out, and it still runs perfectly. As for the 360, like I said countless times to countless people, I'll get it whenever.
toms
Yeah, but you could probably juggle gamecubes (and drop them a few times) and they'd still work fine. Tough little bit of kit they is... [edit] didn't cost them $126 dollars per console either... Jeff
I know someone that actually got it the night it came out, I wonder if he is having problems... I would never get a console on the release day just for this reason.
Master_Ginn
Look at the PS2, they were having problems with the new idy biddy ones. Definately wait 6 months to a year before you buy any console.

I bought the new redesigned PS2 when it came out, and it still runs perfectly. Hell, it's been through a rough year in a college dorm, and it is just fine. Darth Groovy
I'm getting some nasty feedback from this off my customers. I think I may wait at least a year before I even think about getting one.
TiE23
Oh wait, so does my Xbox Me too! Well, I've had it since summer 2003 anyways. It looks like a manufacturing company is messing up. The disc drives seem to shread up the discs and crash. Hmm...
Arreat
Heres another reason to not buy thr 360. http://reviews.cnet.com/4531-10921_7-6398157.html

swphreak
The XBox 360 is a computer, and I think computers use about 200-600 watts these days (rough guess). I'm not that suprised really.

Black Knight of Keno
Or maybe Microsoft just sucks... oh wait, it does. "There are people who don't like capitalism, and people who don't like PCs. But there's no-one who likes the PC who doesn't like Microsoft" -Bill Gates I probably wont be getting a 360... I'm not much into it... If I had the money, I'd wait for PS3 anyways rather than buy a Microsoft product with more flaws than Windows has. I've had enought by playing the CoD2 demo on 360 in the local video game store. It's better in the graphic and controller sections, but if you wait for PS3, you could probably get everything 360 has with better graphics. "Oh boo-hoo! I don't get the newest Project Gotham Racing T-T" Bah...
Lynk Former
Defective Xbox 360s prompt lawsuit http://www.gamespot.com/news/6140758.html It's the PS2 all over again lol
toms
Is there any launch these days that DOESNT prompt a lawsuit???? I was standing in the games store watching 2 lots of people play COD2 on the 360 (on a high def lcd) and SWBF2 on the xbox (on a regular tv) and I gotta say there wasn't a stunning difference in graphics from where i was standing. COD2 just looked like a PC game, nothing better, and apart from the extra resolution it didn't really seem majorly better in terms of graphics. (better obviously, but i'd say there is as big a gap between early xbox games and later xbox games as between late xbox games and early 360 games. ) I just upgraded my xbox to the latest version of xbox media centre, and installed some improved snes and genesis emulators and i gotta say it rocks. Can now listen to 100s of shoutcast stations, browse gamespot and watch game/movie trailers directly from my xbox... can't see myself upgrading any time soon. Especially as the new Prince of Persia game doesn't work on the 360!!!

toms
Oh noes...it uses power! lol... but it actually seems that might be the problem... seems you can stop your 360 crashing by "suspending" the power supply.. i guess that means its the underside of the power supply overheating that mightbe causing the crashes.. http://us.gizmodo.com/gadgets/home-entertainment/xbox-360-glitches-begone-139869.php
BongoBob
When Elder Scrolls: Oblivion comes out on it is when I'll worry about getting one. Seriously, once I learned it wasn't coming out at launch, I officially didn't care as much.
