90SK
Are you kidding me? Not him too! I read them when I was little. We have a big collection. R.I.P, childhood memories.
The Doctor
I never really like the Berenstein Bears. That doesn't mean that this doesn't SUCK BIG TIME, but I never liked them that much.
Rogue Nine
My mommy always said, "If you have nothing nice to say, then it's better not to say anything at all." And I liked the Berenstain Bear books. I'd no idea how old the Berenstains were, but I guess I know now. Condolences to his family, especially Jan. :/
Vladimir-Vlada
Even though I have never heard of this person, nor of his creations; I believe that we should remorse for this person as well, because death is merciless. *Takes off his hat and places it at his shoudler* May he rest in peace. Bob Lion54
Sad indeed. I remember The Bernstein Bears Go to the Dentist (or something simular). I was so afraid once when I had to go to the dentist, but my mom read me the book and I wasn't so scared. Its been years since I thought of that.... I feel.......... old. Rest In Peace, Sir. Thank you for the memories.

Emperor Devon
Eh, call it benefitial for many families. There will now probably be an increase of children who are taught morals (not like they need any) from their parents intead of from those books. Aash Li
Its Berenstien, not Berenstain (sounds like a porno name). I had a load of their books when I was little. The movie sucked as I recall...
Rogue Nine
Actually, according to Wikipedia and the link spinkle provided, "Berenstain" is correct.

I also believe that it is better to learn morales from parents, elderly people and philosophical books; instead of books with just a large number of paintings. But still, a person died and we must show respect.

Aash Li
Hmmm... Almost every link on google image people write it with an e; since thats the proper spelling of it (its a Jewish name). But youre right, all the book images themselves have an a. Must be an "americanized" version of the name.
