E3 bans scantily clad 'booth babes'

what exactly were you doing at the meth clinic ?

It's right down the street from where I work. So there are junkies all over the place.

@Aash, Hmmm, Why does a car show need women and an electronic entertainment expo not?

If it's good for one then it should be cool for the other...and if it's unnacceptable at one it is unnacceptable at the other.

Because cars are directly related to women and the female physique (those curves aren't just for aerodynamics).

I've yet to meet a man/boy relate his computer to a woman. Maybe name it after a woman, but then again, so do a lot of prison inmates with their "bitch".

Heh, I live in city full of hot women, I'm desensitised. Booth Babes are fine, up to a point. That point being a natural chest, generally attractive, ralatively normal clothes and some game knowledge.

Sex sells but often in your face sex is just a turn off. In this case, yeah, sling 'um.

Indeed, a skank having double d's doesn't make one hot. It's all about carriage.

It's nice to know some guys have standards.

I'm not entirely sure what those standards are (nor am I sure I really want to know), but it's nice to see nonetheless. You're restoring my faith in the male gender. I think. :D

Yes... the large-breasted, scantily-clad women belong on the screen, playing volleyball and fighting vampires and the like, and NOT in reality where the might just distract a few gamers from the ones on the screen. :dozey:

:p

I dunno... it's a non issue to me. A bit silly from either side you look at it.

Every convention with product booths has, and has always had, "booth babes." Doesn't matter what the product or service is. Could be a sandpaper manufacturers convention... doesn't matter. They are there. They are a staple.

But I have not been, nor ever plan to be to E3, so I find it a moot point.

@Sithy, I still say it doesn't matter wether it's cars or computers, there shouldn't be a double standard, and as for cars being more directly related to the female physique...

Enzo or Kasumi.... Enzo or Kasumi... hmmmm

I for one certainly hope that whoever I end up with has a better physique than our Chevy Silverado, even if looks aren't the most important.

hehe, sometimes its not the looks that count, but rather whats under the hood. a car doesn't have to be the best looking car in the bunch to leave everything else in the dust. one could easily say that it works the same with the opposite sex. ;)

as for computers and games, well, i just can't come up with any appropriate similes to compare them to women. its just two completely different subjects that only mesh for lonely males that don't have a life outside of the chair they use to play games/download porn/promote they have a life to everyone on a web forum or chat room. well, at least IMO.

Of course looks aren't the most important quality, I was simply responding to Sithy's belief that cars look like women, I like the way cars look, but I've never been turned on by a car.

And if your going to compare cars to women, "physique" doesn't hold a candle to perfect performance and handling;)

The Xbox sure has gone supermodel though:rofl:
