Your awesome non KoTOR games images

Recommended Posts

This thread was inspired by threads from the Republic Newsfeed and Telos Tourist Bureau.

I just thought, since we have threads where we can post images from KoTOR and TSL, we should have one where we can post images from our other favourite games. It doesn't matter if they are a part of the Star Wars franchise, what matters is that it isn't KoTOR.

I'll start with a screen from Hitman Contracts:

Boy, stoffe, that is quite a collection of screens! Do you like HC by any chance, igyman? :p. Phew... I remember Bridge Commander and the "Look but do not touch" syndrome - still a great game. Also, what is this game? I do not believe I recognise it. From the textures on the ground to the side I'd say it is JA but I just can't pin point the location. I'll have a look around for my own "awesome" shots :).

Hmm, what's the "Look but do not touch" syndrome? As for the image, yes, that's from Jedi Academy. It's from one of the initial Jedi Training mission areas. Incidentally, I think it's the only place in the whole game where there's any water you can swim in. Good that the tutorial teaches you such useful skills. :)

Anyway, to keep this post on topic, here are some more game screenshots. This batch is more recent, from TES4:Oblivion.

Posing with the enemy...

I'll jump up and bite you in the kneecaps...

Typically evil beam...

The Maw of Oblivion

Nice view...

Yet another pretty sunset.

I hear someone is selling it for a bargain price on ebay.co.uk. Very good value. The seller is someone called herbiez01 i think. Buy Bridge Commander from him. Id say your worth bidding high for that one. Maybe in the hundreds of pounds range.

Heh, it is the fact that you cannot get out of your chair :p. Also, that your first officer does most of the talking in that game - it would have benefitted from a nice choice system where you chose what you said.

All settings maxed out (HDR, no AA) at 1280x720:

Wow, quite a difference of visual quality compared to on my computer. Looks like you don't need any AA, can't spot a single jaggy line in that image. :)

Ah yes, that. :) They might as well have made your XO into captain and your in-game alter ego since she handles most of the talking and decision making anyway. Sure there were a few occasions when you could decide what course of action to pursue, but they were rather few and far between.

Besides, I always thought Commander Larsen's personality was a bit more fitting of a vulcan, so one of the first mods I used for Bridge Commander was one which turned her into one (see first screen below). :)

Some more random game screens of questionable awesomeness:

Species made to match personality...

Take us within spitting range, lieutenant...

Mushroom tower tourist pose

Rainy, fogshrouded swamps seem to be pretty popular locations in games:

A rainy, fogshrouded swamp

Another rainy, fogshrouded swamp

A not quite so rainy swamp

Fog-of-war shrouded swamp

Did I missed something or is this a mod? I don't have the game with me now but I don't remember seeing any tower there. I n fact I don't remember the possibility to climb on top of a structure like this.

It's a mod I'm doing. I got a bit fed up with a level 40+ Champion of Cyrodiil/Archmage/FGMaster being confined to a tiny one room shack on the Waterfront slums. So I added a new large house at the "unoccupied" quadrant of the city isle, with a balcony at the top of the tower to be able to admire the rather nice view. :)

Since this is a screenshot thread, here are some quick screenshots of it:

You should think about making it available for download.

I second this stoffe, that is freakin awesome. :D

All I need to do is face the final boss in Morrowind then I'm starting Oblivion... a cool house with a ton of space to store my stuff is just the thing I'll need. Be sure to have a few placeables with rediculous weight capacities.

Picky aren't I? :xp:

Something is out of order here lol. It looks too digital. You did something to that screenshot, didn't you?

Actually, if you check my screenshots you will see that even at 1600x1200 the jaggy lines can be seen on the Imperial thower. You probably can't see it on that screenshot because it is so small.

But really, it's not that bad at 1600x1200, or even at 1280x1024. The thower and some hauses in Anvil and Chorrol are the only places that have apparent jaggies. Still, it's much better to turn on HDR than AA in this game. Without HDR, the colors just look so washed out.

If your character is of decent level (30+) the final fights of the Morrowind main quest shouldn't bee too hard since Darth Ur and his cronies don't automatically level up with you, and the hardest baddies begin to spawn at level 25 or so.

See this thread about that mod to avoid going any further off-topic in this thread. :)

Then I'm in really, really good shape as I am around level 75, I have done the FG, MG, House Haalu, Imp. Cult, and Imp. Leigon before starting the main quest... I'm silly like that sometimes. :D I also have visited all of the Master skill instructors and checked off as many of the little quests as I could. So I guess this Darth Ur is TOAST! :dev6: -RH

I've been playing Guild Wars for far too long now, and made screenshots all the time. I litteraly have the complete main quest capped in Jpeg format ^^

After that i started to look for nice places to screen. I then found this one:
