BongoBob
Anybody else here suffer from sleep problems? I didn't really until the last quarter of school. No matter how hard I try, if I go to sleep at 10 PM, I wake up at 1, completely refreshed. But I crash around 9. Then wake up half a day later. No matter what time I go to sleep, I always seem to wake up just an hour and a half later. Cookies to whoever gets the reference in the title. Dagobahn Eagle
Oh yup:rolleyes:. I've been given sleeping pills now, and they work pretty well. No lasting solution, but they help. Sleep problems suck.

jon_hill987
I only smoke weed when I need to And I need to get some rest I confess, I burnt a hole in the mattress Yes, yes, it was me, I plead guilty And on the count of three I pull back the duvet Make my way to the refrigerator One dry potato inside, no lie Not even bread, jam When the light above my head went bam! I can't sleep, something's all over me Greasy, insomnia please release me And let me dream about making mad love on the heath Tearing off tights with my teeth But there's no relief I'm wide awake in my kitchen It's black and I'm lonely Oh, if I could only get some sleep Creeky noises make my skin creep I need to get some sleep I can't get no sleep.... EDIT: for all you going "WTF!?!" that was the lyrics to Insomnia by Faithless.

toms
The way we sleep in the west doesn't really fit with our bodies natural rythmns... there are a few theories on alternate sleep patterns out there that seem interesting.. though it can be hard to fit them in with work and life. (unless you are in spain and can siesta!) Most not sleeping is down to stress, or ding things just before sleeping that make the mind active. (like computer games). (or it just being too hot or cold). Try: http://www.to-done.com/2006/01/tips-for-sleeping-better/
BongoBob
Sleep? I detest sleep. A winner is you It's now 10 minutes after 7, and I'm finally getting tired. I don't really feel sleepy, but my body does. To quote lord of the rings, "I may not look it, but I feel it. Like butter scraped over too much bread." Meh. Fun Fact: It's not a moose
jon_hill987
The way we sleep in the west doesn't really fit with our bodies natural rythmns.[/url] Hows this: Sleep when it is dark. You can't get more natural than that. of course it means you won't get as much done in the winter, but there isn't as much to do anyway.

milo
Most not sleeping is down to stress, or ding things just before sleeping that make the mind active. (like computer games). (or it just being too hot or cold).I've noticed this with my own sleep habits. If I'm up late at night on the computer, it doesn't matter how tired I am, I'll toss and turn for an hour or so before I can fall asleep. If I spend the evening reading or relaxing though, I can usually drop off to sleep in a few minutes.
IG-64
I've had insomnia since forever. I was always up real late, even when my parents put me to bed early, I still stayed up in bed. And I was always the first to wake up of everyone. I started staying up all night probably around age 6, and I've been doing it ever since. My sleep schedule is ever-changing; sometimes I wake up at night, sometimes in the morning, sometimes in the middle of the day. I've had countless attempts to "fix" my schedule by trying to stay up as long as it takes to get to sleep at a normal time, but even if it stays fixed for a little while, it always gets screwed up again. I've only recently stopped doing that, because I know by now it doesn't work. Its just a problem I've always had to deal with, and that's what I do, I deal with it. Samnmax221
I'ce had crummy sleep habits ever since entereing High School, during Middle School not sleeping enough meant I was up untill 1:30, not getting enough sleep nowadays means "I can sleep for 20 minutes, then I'd better run over to the gas station and buy a few energy drinks so I can function in school tommorow... I meen today".

Oddly enough, I've always had an easier time staying up at night and sleeping during the day. Thats why I took the overnight shift. I still have trouble keeping a schedule, but its a lot easier for me to stay us at night. Its still hard as hell to acually wake up on time for work and they always complain about me being late. Funny thing is, the people who worked the overnight shift before me would sometimes not show up at all. I'm there EVERY night. You would think they would relize that they are not going to be asked to stay overnight, just 5 or 10mins late. But no, they have to complain... Problem is, when I don't get to bed early, I start to worry about waking up late and it makes it harder to sleep. Meh...whatever. I should have been asleep three hours ago... milo
You know, I never had bad sleep habits until I started playing Kotor. That was when I'd start staying up until 4 or 5, then sleeping till the afternoon. It took me a while to get back to a normal schedule after christmas break, and now it's all messed up again because of summer. I'm staying up till early morning hours, then sleeping for a few hours, then going to work at around 7, then coming home and taking a nap for a couple of hours, then I wake up and start over. Sometimes I wish I didn't need sleep.
Samnmax221
Sleep deprivation also has lead to some awful leaps of logic, such as deciding to walk the dog at 2:45 AM.
