Windu Chi
I heard reports of the tv series being base in Ep. III-Ep. IV. era I don't like that idea. I will like to see the tv series based in the Knights of the Old era or base in New Repulic era: Jedi Knight Academy era.
Pho3nix
I'm pretty sure it will be set in Ep. III - Ep. IV-era. KotOr-era sounds kinda far-fetched.
Darth_Terros
yeah its deffinately set during the dark times, should be pretty awesome i personally hope there is very little focus on jedi.
Jeff
I'm pretty sure it will be set in Ep. III - Ep. IV-era.This is correct as far as I know. I'm fine with that time period, it's a time we don't know a lot about.

Well you'll have to get used to it, it's not just "reports". Everywhere it's mentioned it is said that it will be set between 19 and 0 BBY. Nice to hear, although I would also love to see "flashback" sequences of older times, like around the young Anakin/Obi era. That will help to flush out backgrounds of some characters. Commander Obi-Wan
I like it the way they plan to have it. I don't mind that time period. I would certainly like to know more about it, beside the few books they have for that time period. Though, I wouldn't mind a non-animated series for the Clone Wars. coupes.
KotOR already covers the KotOR era. Jedi Academy arleady covers the Jedi Academy era. NJO already covers the NJO era. I'd like to see the series cover the dark times between episodes III and IV, besides it's benn pretty much confirmed now.
TSR
KotOR already covers the KotOR era. Jedi Academy arleady covers the Jedi Academy era. NJO already covers the NJO era. well observed... i'd like to think between Ep III and IV myself. although KOTOR would be exeptionally cool. topshot
I'd like to see where they'd take the story to if it were based on some of the lesser known characters, I guess inbetween the periods of Eps. III-V and maybe a little before I, if possible.
Davinq
NJO! *ducks* As long as they did KotOr in loop with the games, and not the comics, I would be cool with that too though. What we need is a Jar Jar show.

Q
Between Ep.III & Ep.IV. As has already been said, we know nothing about this era.
PoiuyWired
Between Ep.III & Ep.IV. As has already been said, we know nothing about this era. More like, we know little about the era. Actually the "Dark Times" series of comics deals with this era. Also true would be stuff at the end of the Star Wars Repubic comic series, and various "flashback" information from the EU. Since the tv series will probably include new characters, it would be nice if they do "flashbacks" of their past also, and not doing the whole "guess what he did" thing. It would be also nice to see cameos of invincable "young future heros/villians" type running around in moderate dozage. Though too much of those may be a bit "annoying" We all know young Han is not going to get hurt/kill no matter what he did, nor will Thrawn nor Lumiya nor Wicket. Oh yes, a pain of jar jar series would be nice, but I must be dreaming there. Would be lovely if they did a bit of "wiki/discovery" type information at the end of each episode, telling those nubs about the more obvious EU facts of the galaxy far far away. What are you saying don't do no live action tv series base in those eras, never ?
MachineCult
So! What are you saying don't do no live action tv series base in those eras, never ? No, never. They can't and won't make a TV series for every little era, it's stupid to think that. They're making it between III and IV because it's an era that everyone can reckognise, they aren't just making the series for Star Wars fans. They're making it between III and IV because it's an era that everyone can reckognise, they aren't just making the series for Star Wars fans. How the hell do you think you know what George Lucas decision will be concerning his choices about specific Star Wars eras? What make you think that they can't do that with the continuation of future Star Wars tv series. They can't and won't make a TV series for every little era, it's stupid to think that. It won't be a stupid idea to make tv series about every little era, if they want to continue to keep Star Wars alive in the future. They aren't just making the series for Star Wars fans. You must not really be a Star Wars fan to say that.

What make you think that they can't do that with the continuation of future Star Wars tv series. Like coupes. said, the KotOR era is covered in the KotOR games and comics, NJO is covered by a plethora of novels and comics, and Jedi Academy is covered by, guess what? The Jedi Academy game. A TV series for those eras would be totally redundant, the 20 years between each half of the saga is barely covered at all, it makes perfect sense to set the series then. It won't be a stupid idea to make tv series about every little era, if they want to continue to keep Star Wars alive in the future. Star Wars isn't going to last forever, probably not even your lifetime. It depends on how well the TV series do, but the main "Star Wars" is the movies, and they're over. You must not really be a Star Wars fan to say that. If a Star Wars fan is someone who thinks and hopes they'll make a TV series about every era that is covered perfectly well in games and comics, then no i'm not "really a Star Wars fan." It makes absolutely no finantial sense to spend millions of dollars on a TV series set in an obscure Star Wars era that only the most hardcore of Star Wars fan will watch. They are making this series for everyone, not just lunatic fanboy Star Wars fans like you.
