I'm thinking tranquilizer guns are a good compromise.

I used to be in NJROTC, let me just say that you can't can't swing a fetus around without hitting someone with severe emotional problems, that being one of the reasons I left. The only "weapons" we ever had were demiliterized (Lead poured in the barrel, and bolt locked shut) M-1's, which is more then many schools get due to gun bans in larger cities.

Though technically, my brother was in the JROTC when we lived in Houston, and rifle practice was one of the reasons he joined. So yes, they're given weapons to fire. Though of course they don't exactly carry machine guns and bazookas (or for that matter regular guns) around besides from that. Not nearly what I meant:D.

No, tranquilizer blow guns. Twice as cool and if a kid were to take it, the damage he/she can do is limited. How many kids in your school can use a blowgun with lethal abillities? In my school, I'm guessing 6.

HAHAHA! I think the Driver's Ed teachers could utilize the hammer to maximum ability. Or better yet, just use a javelin. The sheer confusion will stall an attempt to shoot up the school. The attacker would just think "WTF, should I shoot them or laugh?" and before you know it, his/her is impaled.

Teachers should start to get paid more. And trained better. Who wouldn't want to be a student of a buff 30-year-old man fresh from a military camp? The teachers are gonna need to be better sharpshooters if they're going up against the "terrorists" of their own schools.

@Chase: I completely agree with everything you've said. There has to be consequences for ALL bad behavior at home and in school. What really pi$$ed me off in school was how teachers would let certain kids get away with anything and then come down hard on any kid who had the nerve to object to that kind of overt favoritism. It has the effect of undermining a kid's respect for authority.

 

While I certainly have no objections to teachers learning martial arts, I think that allowing them to tote guns in school would be akin to throwing gasoline on a fire.

Bravoly said Chase! Bad Parents can be a cause as to why there are so many school shootings and all sorts of crime kids do these days. Parents,Senators,congressmen,Media etc u name it are blaming video games ,tv, anything which is a bunch of bulogna when they dont even look at themselves on how they parent there kids etc. ( there are tv shows etc that are not meant to be veiwed for young veiwers that I can bet alot of kids watch etc due to parents not caring which can result in there bad behavior etc)

Man, I must be getting old. I can actually remember when it was considered part of a teacher's job to deal with misbehaving students and smooth over disruptions without resorting to violence of any kind.

I said "Potentially." Because as Chase said, even with protection and condoms, there's a chance of pregnancy or getting an STD.

Exactly. Boy wants to have sex, girl doesn't want to, boy pesters her until she gives in, she feels horrible afterwards, repeat until girl's life is ruined.

 

Look, teenages (I'll exclude children, as I guess everyone agrees they shouldn't have sex:p) last for, what, six years? Is it really that hard to control your hormones for that long?
