TSR
So, yes, i have a nice flashy little strobe light attached into one of my USB ports. It doesnt really do anything, but it looks cool in the dark. So iw as wondering, what USB devices do you have plugged in that arent any required part of your computer? Astrotoy7
I need every watt for my SLI....not going to waste it on such trivial things...plus I dont think I have any spare ports atm: *MS IR receiver(for media center remote) *controller(ps2 style) *PDA *printer *iriver portable media centre *external HDD *bluetooth dongle for wireless keyb/mouse that leaves me with one spare actually, which i sometimes stick a flashdrive in mtfbwya
Darth333
that leaves me with one spare actually, which i sometimes stick a flashdrive in mtfbwya From what you posted in Ahto, I'm not too sure if it's really a flashdrive As for me the only usb device I use is a "real" flashdrive to transfer data between my office computer and my home PC. ChAiNz.2da
Damn, D3 beat me to it hehehe... I have TONS of stuff (read: crap) plugged into my system(s), but it's all in use per se. Considering my system has 7 back ports, 2 front ports and each of my monitors has 4 ports... I'm a USB'ing maniac However, as for topic the most useless thing is the mini plug for my cell phone which connects it to iTunes and/or fileshare drive. Comes in handy when it comes time to recharge, but for the most part.. it just lies dormant (and most often in the floor )... Let's not even mention the Firewire toys

Det. Bart Lasiter
I have a Bluetooth 2.0 reciever for my keyboard, mouse, a printer cable, and an external drive. Which leaves room for a USB disco ball.

Astrotoy7
This is why we have these things... Ive got one of those for the kids compy...I dont have need of one. jmac has very effectively demonstrated a wonderful way to squander a usb port, but do it in a funky way mtfbwya

We have lots of USB ports and not enough things to fill them (no Astro-toy for us! ). We like our wireless mice and keyboard, and we have a USB wireless router--saved us having to put in a wireless card in the desktop. I have a flash drive to take stuff back and forth between desktop and laptop.
