Wow, what did that kid think we were going to say? "Oh, that's an easy one! Just press CTRL-ALT-DEL three times and a screen will pop up allowing you to change your grades, just like WarGames. What's that? Never heard of WarGames. Too young? Oh well, never mind!"

New name: SCUMM Editing? It's still not right. I've not really got any idea of the best way to describe this forum! "Beneath the hood"? "Inside SCUMM"? "Modding/Editing"?

"Internal investigations" (too porny)

"Messing around with the innards of LucasArts, TellTale and Double Fine games" (too wordy)

"Fan modification and editing" (too austere. also, could be taken the wrong way)

"Fun with code!" (too frivolous)

"Spelunking with binary" (too surreal)

"Ripping, editing and modding" (too quakey)

I give up.

rivers56,

You don't actually have to do any hacking to get most admin rights, assuming that you are just trying to get access to restricted functions as mentioned in your post.

Try using MS Word's open/save menu to access C: or using Windows' New>Shortcut. Keep playing around and you should be able to find a loophole using something simple that was overlooked by the school admin. Once in C:\Windows\system32, you should be able to access nonrestricted executables of Windows Explorer, Task Manager, Registry, and MS-DOS Prompt, to name a few.
