5) Friendly people who reply your posts

6) Intelligent people who never stop poking at your posts

7) Mods that rock

8) Mods who rock (RH, Prime, Chainz, and recently Jae and Stoffe, etc, you're all unforgettable (though Prime ignored my mod request. Or maybe he just forgot))

9) Admin(s) who get(s) to be lawyer(s) and know(s) French (Yes she's my idol )

10) All the friends I'm gonna make here!

 

Now, I know I've not been here long, and I don't really know that much of you, but I just wanna say you guys are great people. I hope we get to know each other more, and for that I'm gonna stick around! An early Merry Christmas! ::::::::::::::

7) Nice forum skin.

8) Did I already mention the staff here is one of the best of any forum I've seen of similar size? Oh yes, I did... well it's important!

9) Great way to find out which mods are worth it and which aren't... though if you trust what people here say, they're all worth it!

10) An overall great community. Everyone here should be proud of themselves for creating such a great place to be.

Hmmmm (my classic way of starting posts like this ):

 

1) I get to meet and talk to people from all over the world

2) I get to practice my English daily

3) I get to participate in many debates, ranging from serious to those that get the imagination going

4) I get to read stories written by people that aren't professional writers

5) I get to be really creative and write my own stories that other people read

6) I get to be creative and helpful in the ''Avatar/Sig...'' and the ''Name problems'' thread

7) Age doesn't matter here, we all treat each other with equal respect (except sometimes when we're defending our views in a controversial topic)

8) Insults aren't tolerated and people who can't hold back from insulting are taken care of, swiftly and with style (damn, I'm starting to cite the rules )

9) There's always something to talk about, Star Wars-related, or otherwise

10) You can say ''May the Force be with you'' and not be considered a complete weirdo.

Honestly, sometimes I find myself wishing insults were allowed on boards like this because I love finding creative ways to diss people. It's empowering and I love it. But LF is a very pleasant place to post, with, it would seem, very very few idiots -- so I don't find myself thinking like that here.

 

I'm not going to make a list. I just post here to pass the time and check out all the great mods people make. You'll never see me shy away from a discussion about something I feel passionately about, but I can do that in my real life or on other boards, so that isn't a reason to 'love' LF.

1) The best Star Wars forum around.

2. There's some form of discipline here. (Unlike many other forums)

3. There's always something new to talk about.

4. It doesn't matter who you are, you get the respect you deserve.

5. When I was still new, the guys in the Star Wars forum put up with my absolute n00bness. (thanks guys)

7. You don't feel obligated to post or keep returning, it's your choice.

2. Good discipline, which is an unfortunate fact that I can't deny.

3. Good way to post my fic and accepting comments and corrections from people, thus improving my English.

4. Good RP environment, which gives us imagery duels.

5. Poking at other people's post.

6. Customerizable avartars, sigs, and profiles.

7. Great mods, such as Jae, Darth Moeller, stoffe -mkb-, and others.

8. Great design.

9. Although sometimes it lags, it still is my fav website.

Well, more accurately flaming isn’t tolerated. Insults (when posted in jest, without being truly offensive) are more often appreciated than not. Although, I will agree that one can never appreciate a bad insult.

 

Honestly, sometimes I find myself wishing insults were allowed on boards like this because I love finding creative ways to diss people. It's empowering and I love it. Since I joined there have been many occasions where the server(s) was lagged beyond my browser's timeout. Usually from a massive amount of users (too many people who <3 LFN). Admittedly I haven’t been around much lately, but I wouldn’t say it never happens.

4) Mods...without them, Kotor would have 'died' long ago.

5) The Workbench. Ideal for hardware problems.

7) Moderators..hmm...had some nasty experiences with them too. But hey. Compared to other forums, they're the best of the best

I think he simply meant that an online forum is never a good place to learn proper English. Just be very conscious of what you're taking in as "proper" and you'll be fine.

Yeah...that's what I used to say...then she called the cops...they brutalized me...then the restraining order...I mean, I just happened to be around her neighborhood with my binoculars...doesn't mean anything...everyone has the right to carry a video camera around...high speed video camera...with incredible zooming capabilities...coincidence...

People behave, can have conversations without insults, even debates about religion that are actually the most mature I've ever seen. The moderators are generally nice (except when they sue you...). I guess that's it hehe.
