SithRevan
Last night I was watching Spider-Man 2 the directors cut on the TV and I have seen it about a million times but what made me really want to watch it is some where in that viewing there would be a sneek preview of Spider-Man 3. Now I had to watch the whole movie to see it but I finally saw it and I can say that Spider-Man 3 is going to be totally awesome! In Spider-Man 3 they are going to be bringing back "The Green Goblin" (which is no surprise to everybody who has seen the 2nd Spider-Man movie) and they are also going to be introducing a new character... Spider-Man's alter ego Venom or "The Black Spider"(which is not new to the cartoon series but is to the movie). So you all can see how this is going to be a way killer movie. Here is the actual preview of it that I found on youtube, Enjoy... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wwe1HmFamCw Here is the one Negative Sun found on the official site. This one may be a little better... http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/spiderman3/site/
King Dando
Harry Osborne is now "The Green Goblin" after he found all the gear behind that broken mirror? Am I right? Venom isn't Spiderman's alter ego, it's Eddie Brock's, after Spiderman got rid of the suit, it "bonded" with Eddie instead to create Venom, I think....Isnt the Sandman going to be in S-3 too? I am excited about this movie, I love Spiderman EDIT: Corrected spelling of Venom
SithRevan
Well all I can say is that Spider-Man looks a lot like Venom when that black goo stuff takes control of him. Also yes sandman in supposed to be in that movie, I forgot to mention him. So in anycase I hope I am right about Venom being Spider-Man's alter ego in the movie and I cannot wait either to see this. King Dando
I see what you mean, but when Spydey has the suit on, its not Venom, although it looks like him, besides, Spydey realises the suit has corrupted him and he gets rid of it before it fully "bonds" with him
Pho3nix
Yes you are right King Dando. The symbiote is Eddie Brock's "alter ego". When the symbiote bonds with Spider-man's suit it starts to affect his emotions in a negative way as he becomes more aggressive and gains more confidence or "power". There are three main villains in the movie: Sandman. Harry Osborn. Who is not called Hobgoblin nor The Green Goblin. According to Sam Raimi he might be called "Nightsurfer" but I'm not sure. Eddie Brock Jr. aka Venom. He will probably not have a big role as Venom until the very end of the movie when the symbiote abandons Peter and bonds with Eddie. Then there's the "fourth" villain which is Peter Parker fighting the darker side of himself as it becomes more dominant with the symbiote suit. I'm hoping Spider-man 3 is going to turn out as good or even better than the previous two movies. I've always liked the Spider-man comic and the movies as well. King Dando
I thought Venom was the symbiote, and Eddie's alter-ego. Or is that what you're saying? There's a gap in my knowledge, it must be filled at once!
Pho3nix
I thought Venom was the symbiote, and Eddie's alter-ego. Or is that what you're saying? There's a gap in my knowledge, it must be filled at once! Venom and the symbiote are two separate things in my opinion. They just made up a "nickname" for Eddie Brock, which is Venom when the symbiote bonded with him. And what I meant by saying that Venom is Eddie's alter-ego was that the symbiote brings out the worst in the people that it bonds with so It's actually not Eddie's actions that we see when he is Venom, they are the effect of the symbiote. King Dando
Ahhh, I see what you mean now. The Symbiote + Eddie Brock = Venom "Venom" being the name they both give themselves to torment Spiderman, and that the actions of "Venom" are a result of the Symbiote bonding with Eddie. I think thats right. Anyway, lets see how the movie handles it, if it does... They've made a slight change to the Sandman storytline for the movie, apparently he stumbles into a particle physics laboratory and accidentally gets trapped in a giant whisk-like machine that turns him into living sand. In the comics, I think he came into contact with sand while on the run that had been irradiated by an experimental reactor. His body and the radioactive sand then bond, and it becomes...well...sandy I guess..
Jeff
This is definitely one of the movies I'm looking forward to. I loved the first two and hope this one is even better.
The Doctor
I can't wait for this one. Black Spiderman, Sandman, and a lead-in to Spiderman 4 (I'm guessing). Venom will probably be the main villain in the 4th installment. We'll see how they set it up, though.
Grey Master
Looking forward to see it in a theater near me.

So they could either get new people after a few years of lying low, or just give it up.

Who know though. I think we will have to see the movie and what happens after that.
Diego Varen
I'm looking foward to this too. Spider-Man becomes the Black Spider, Venom, it all looks great. And Doc, I read on Wikipedia that it is possible that Stan Lee or whoever makes the films might be making another Spider-Man trilogy. Anyway, I'm looking foward to the third one. Edit: Read the bottom of the Wikipedia page with Sequels.
REDJOHNNYMIKE
I don't know...I don't bow down at the alter of all spiderman stuff, so I'm not an expert...but it sounds like it might be annoyingly complicated.
Ztalker
It's not that complicated at all, imo... it just follows the previous movies: Sandman: Murderer of his uncle, as seen in the first movie Goblin/Harry Osborn: Wants revenge for his father, as seen in the first and second movie. Eddie Brock/Venom: The story of the 'symbiote' had to be told sooner or later. This also opens the way for Carnage...and a part 4 as others said I think it finishes this triology quit nicely... Definately going to see this
Master Zionosis
Well as my dad is a script writer, i happened to get my hands on the script for Spidey 3 and Venom aint in it, but at the end of the script it leads in to what look's to me like Spidey 4, and Venom is Supposed to be in that. Negative Sun
Whatever you say pal, got any proof to back that up? Cause I could say Sam Raimi is my dad and he just told me that what you said is bollocks... Edit: The new trailer looks good though, but... Sandman killed his uncle? WTF? How does that work? Someone been using the wacky backy too much?
Commander Obi-Wan
I like the first two movies of the Spiderman series so far. I bought them both. So, I plan to see Spiderman III when it comes out in theaters. It's looks pretty good, but a bit confusing. But, it will all clear up when I go see it. HerbieZ
It does looks pretty cool but i think this will be the last one. Maguire to be honest is getting old! He looks like 30 years have passed in this one. Although it could just be thine eyes.

RedHawke
Reading this I am getting worried... Too many villians. This can definitely hurt a movie, it is what I didn't like about the later Batman movies (Until Batman Begins came along and restored my faith in the franchise.) I hope it is a good movie, but seeing talk of having that many villians reduces their individual on-screen time and sounds like a major disaster to me. It seems that S-3 will focus on Peter and the black suit, which means they may leave the bit where he gets rid of it and use that as the movie's climactic scene or something, leaving it open to include Venom in the fourth one, if there ever is a fourth one... Actually I would think that it would improve the movie as more villians means more Spider-Man and more Spider-Man means more action overall. So I still think this movie would be awesome even if they did have a large number of villians.
