Life Drawing

Both my parents are (or rather were) Life Drawers. They went to Academy, but even before that, they could draw beautiful piece, IMO. A LOT of nude too (oh, yes, Jae, they were naughty when they were young. :p). But you should try it. It's not the easiest thing to do, but if you're skilled you can draw amazing stuff.

I had drawing classes in college and highschool and we had models ( nude ) posing for us every week .

Its lot of fun to do ( not because their nude :tsk: , besides they're average normal people , not super fashion models from the cat-walks and we had both sexes)

It can take awhile untill you get the hang of it , humans are diffecult and complex . And everyone knows how a human looks like , so even a 2 year old will see mistakes .

I'd say grab the change if you enjoy drawing and spending some hours on it .

ehhh... hmmm... okay I guess I'll give it a shot. And not just the small part of me that wants to see some rude girlies :naughty:, but for its benefits to me as an artist. Afterall, the teacher said it is quite a compulsory subject for the course I want.

Heh, sounds fine. I say go for it, but, the question at center is, do you like drawing? If you do, then you have answered your own question.

Of course I like drawing! What kind of a silly question is that??? I'm just kiddin'. Yeah, Drawing is my main hobbie. Particuly when it comes to practicing to draw Manga Characters.

Well, most adults don't go "OMG Nikkid People!!!!!!111" Well most at least. Obviously the nice performer not doing deliberately erotic posture(and exotic makeup) helps.

Plus, some of the best targets of practice are actually people that are more ordinary looking, with a bit of yoga practice is definitely a plus. Makes me think of that old model dude I know.

And well, life drawing does help level up your drawing skills in the long term. Granted, manga styles usualy conveniently bypass some structural problems to go for artistic beauty, along with quite alternative anatomy and overproportioned bodyparts and hairs(and bouncies) that defy any physics.

Being an art teacher myself, I would make the assumption that this is why your teacher suggested you take Life Drawing more seriously. You don't learn about the true structures of the human body by replicating a stylized form of drawing like Manga. Drawing from life opens up your eyes to see things that you normally aren't looking for and your art skills benefit enormously from it.
