What DnD Character Are You?

Bah! I am geek enough that I have actually played myself in AD&D 2Ed.

At 'retirement'...

Chaotic Good Human* Fighter/Mage 18/18 (Nowadays though I seem to have migrated to Lawful Neutral)

Ability Scores:

Strength- 24 (Girdle of Storm Giant Str)

Dexterity- 17

Constitution- 20

Intelligence- 22

Wisdom- 18

Charisma- 16

*We decided Earth Humans could multiclass and we went totally 'Monty Haul' and made a ton of 'house rules' on this campaign since it was us being silly to begin with. ;)

Character Kit: Cavalier

Armour: +5 Mithril Full Plate (Arcane Armour, Has a predator like shoulder unit that could cast MM, FB, MAA, LB, CoC, Web, etc.), plus other defensinve Magic items... AC: -17

Weapons: +5 Adamantine Bastard Sword (Sharpness/Wounding/Speed/Absorbtion) and +5 Adamantine Long Sword (Wounding/Speed/Defender/Back Attack Defence), +5 Adamantine Forearm Blades (Wounding/Speed), +4 Adamantine Mace (Speed/Disruption), 2 +4 Adamantine .45 Colt 1911-A1's. (Yes it was that bad!), a +4 Adamantine .45 Thompson SMG (Wiped out whole tribes of Kobalds I tell you!), plus various other weapons found during journeys.

Special equipment: Has a Spelljamming Pilotable Adamantine Golem that resembles this, but in black. As well as a ton of other stuff I won't list here.

Can you say "Monty Haul" boys and girls? :xp:

Emperor, you can't be Half-Lawful, Half-Chaotic. That's Neutral. That's the whole point. A neutral character doesn't necessarily adhere to neutrality, he just doesn't really give a flying flip about Law or Chaos, Good or Evil. The alignment system for DND is actually pretty accurate. I mean, you can be Lawful Good-Neutral Good, but skipping a slot makes no sense.

I disagree. You could have a character who always keeps his word, works as a police officer to ensure an ordered society, yet who disrespects his elders and would flee from an arranged marriage he didn't like. Or you could have one who proudly serves his family regardless of his opinion, yet wouldn't keep a promise if his life depended on it. I don't think you could classify either of those characters as Neutral, as they have no Neutral tendencies to speak of and actually give a flying flip about the different aspects of Law and Chaos. There's no rule that everyone has to be completely consistent in their beliefs or can't practice what they think is the best of both sides. Being wholly Chaotic would be just as close-minded as being wholly Lawful or Neutral IMO.

But I suppose the contradictory name is deceptive. 'Has Lawful and Chaotic tendencies' would be more accurate.

The alignment system for DND is actually pretty accurate.

Only if the characters it's applied to are as consistent in their morals as it is.

Chaotic Neutral Human Druid/Sorcerer (1st/1st Level)

Ability Scores:

Strength- 11

Dexterity- 9

Constitution- 13

Intelligence- 12

Wisdom- 11

Charisma- 10

Alignment:

Chaotic Neutral- A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. A chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). A chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. Chaotic neutral is the best alignment you can be because it represents true freedom from both society's restrictions and a do-gooder's zeal. However, chaotic neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it seeks to eliminate all authority, harmony, and order in society.

Race:

Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Primary Class:

Druids- Druids gain power not by ruling nature but by being at one with it. They hate the unnatural, including aberrations or undead, and destroy them where possible. Druids receive divine spells from nature, not the gods, and can gain an array of powers as they gain experience, including the ability to take the shapes of animals. The weapons and armor of a druid are restricted by their traditional oaths, not simply training. A druid's Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that they can cast.

Secondary Class:

Sorcerers- Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters who manipulate magic energy with imagination and talent rather than studious discipline. They have no books, no mentors, no theories just raw power that they direct at will. Sorcerers know fewer spells than wizards do and acquire them more slowly, but they can cast individual spells more often and have no need to prepare their incantations ahead of time. Also unlike wizards, sorcerers cannot specialize in a school of magic. Since sorcerers gain their powers without undergoing the years of rigorous study that wizards go through, they have more time to learn fighting skills and are proficient with simple weapons. Charisma is very important for sorcerers; the higher their value in this ability, the higher the spell level they can cast.

Done the test about ten times now to be sure...

I get True Neutral -everytime- I do the test with varying levels of "good" and "evil". I always get True Neutral, but tied with Chaotic a few times.

I get random crosses between Rogues, Druids, Bards, and Rangers, Wizards, etc as well. I can't make up my mind or the quiz can't. Because of this, I can't really post stats.

I always get human, but my score usually looks like this:

Race:

Human ---- XXXXXXXXXXXXXX (14)

Half-Elf - XXXXXXXXXXXXX (13)

I WANNA BE A FULL HALF-ELF! *cries*

Anyway, I call bullsh*t on this test.

Too many of the questions were "Good" and "Evil" questions and didn't really give middle ground at all. I could take this test and get zero Evil points and a majority of Good points, but still be a selfish ***hole that cared only about my beliefs and considered everybody else wrong/sinful.

Too much of this stuff can be reversed and looked on at a different perspective. I don't believe for a second that anybody can truly take this test and get extremely high Good and Evil scores without being incredibly ignorant and biased, thus making their Good or Evil score irrelevant.

Only if the characters it's applied to are as consistent in their morals as it is.

Agreed. I did this test multiple times and am planning to take it a few more times, but overall it appears this setup only works for people 100% behind their beliefs, 100% of the time. To be "Good" in any sense you would always have to make "Good" decisions and say "Good" things... but the second you call yourself right and everybody else wrong, or consider another person unnatural or sinful, you have instantly broken that and gone into the chaotic and evil area.

In all seriousness, the D&D alignment system is pretty flawed for measuring the morality of anyone who's older than 6.

Being wholly Chaotic would be just as close-minded as being wholly Lawful or Neutral IMO.

Agreed.

It's a fantasy personality test, and thus will have flaw. I wouldn't look at this and see it as a reflection of your own personality at all. Fun test, just incredibly inaccurate.

Yea, a lot of these quizzes are like that. I don't really use this as an example of my character because of that - who knows what I'd really do in any of those situations.

To what question(s) are you referring to?

What exactly is a DnD character? I have no clue...

You've not heard of Dungeons and Dragons? Blasphemous.

Presumably the person saying what they would do were they placed in those situations, you? :indif:

Sounds exactly like me and the kind of character I'd pick (in fact I'm sure my first NWN playthrough was a Chaotic Good Half-Elf Sorcerer), so this test is spot on, in fact I've got NWN2 lying there and I haven't even played it yet (shame on me!), so I think I'll put this test to good use and base my character on that, though I want to check out if the Warlock class is any good...
