Prime
how about you just play the java based edition on Douglas Adams website http://www.douglasadams.com/creations/infocomjava.html or the snazzy illustrated edition on the BBC website http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/hitchhikers/game.shtml Thanks for that! I haven't played HHGTTG in ages! Memory lane, here I come! And as my Av would indicate, sometimes I still prefer the look pf pre-drawn sprites over 3D... Salzella
Oh god, a retro elitist Anyway, I still have my N64 and the two Zeldas. I love those games. I don't like your 'retroer-than-thou' approach, but ah well.
Darth InSidious
Rookies. Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Still got a copy around here that runs on DOS. Whether it'll run on this new box or not... May have to work on that. Thread over! Also: Prince of Persia. No, not your fancy "Sands of bull" turn-of-the-millennium rubbish.

TheProphet
SNES baby! A lot of good times playing those games as a kid. Super Mario, Actraiser, Mick Mouse's Magical Adventure, Donkey Kong (personal Favorite), and of course Hook (based off the movie with Robin Williams). As for the PC, did anyone play Anvil of Dawn? I was also addicted to the campy horrors like 7th Guest and Phantasmagoria. The first strategy game I ever played was Command & Conquer which just kicked butt. Good times... good times
Corinthian
Let's see here... Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy IV and VI, Super Mario Bros, Tales of Phantasia, Shadowrun (SNES, not the Sega or the new ones)...and that's just my SNES. I've also got the entire Quest for Glory saga, most of the King's Quest saga, Fallout, Fallout II, the Baldur's Gate series. Although I'm not really sure that Fallout and BG are really that old. Depends on your perspective, I guess.

Primeski, make sure you play the BBC one and register an account so you can save your game > you cant do it otherwise, and the douglas adams site version doesnt allow it alt all. The BBC version is awesome IMO. Illustration version 1 is the one I have leant towards as it reminds me of Rod Lord's animations for the original series(which is what the artist was aiming for) I dont mind console sprites, early 3d sucks, but next gen 3d rocks ya bollux! mtfbwya
Ray Jones
I play my Amiga classics which are now abandonware using UAE. And also some ancient Atari games via the Atari800 Atari emulator.
tk102
I play a lot of old arcade games on the MAME emulator... Me too and it's been awhile since I've broke that out. I keep coming back to Mr. Do. MAME does pwn all -- well said Neg Sun. Brings back the true golden age of gaming. @Salzella: tk retro >> thou
Miles Edgeworth
I still have my Super Nintendo and N64. As for games, my SNES doesn't work, but I have the "better" games from the SNES era. For the N64 I have the Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Super Mario 64, Mario Party 1, Mario Party 2, Star Fox 64, and Mario Kart 64.

I don't remember how many there were but I want to say I had 1, 2 and 3, pretty sure there were at least 3.
Salzella
Who's saying what now? I was referring to: "When there was actually gameplay included not just graphics and lights..." "Those were the days..." ... Misplaced nostalgia is one of my bigger pet peeves And i wasn't talking about you, if that's what you were getting at
TheProphet
the oldest game i have for computer is Descent 1. I played that game to death. Total classic! One of the better ship fighting games of that time I think, and it was addictive as crack.
