0-NOTHING MAY NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE WITH OUT KOTOR TOOL--THANK YOU MR TETRA

1-YOU ARE GRANTED PERMISSION TO USE THIS MOD IN ANY OTHER MOD AS YOU WISH

2-I CONSIDER THIS TO BE A COMMUNITY MOD SO I DON'T CARE WHO MODIFIES WHAT. I DONT CARE WHAT MOD YOU USE IT IN. JUST AS LONG AS YOU DROP ME A LINE OF CREDIT. IF YOU HAVE A BETTER VERSION OF THE PLANET OR TEXTURE SUGGESTION I'D LIKE TO SEE IT. MAYBE THIS MOD INSPIRE SOMEBODY ONE DAY TO TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL.

Well here it is the one of the longest mods i will ever do. 2 years in the making...

It took awhile to find the right textures and the right tools. OK.........

------------------------------------------------------------------

LIST WHATS IN THE MOD

All planets except M4-78 because it was finished after my mod started. If the original modder doesn't mind I'll be glad to add new graphics.

This is more of a total re-texture as i stated before some textures were to out dated to be enhanced to look correctly.

Skyboxes were added at last minute if you feel it doesn't fit or have a better one please do tell

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Credits: Some textures were made by me. Some by others to many to name but i will acknowledge them. Skyboxes were not done by me..

----------------------------------------------------------------

WHATS NOT IN MOD.....

PLC files...will add later

Dxun dosent have a new skybox yet because it uses one texture double sided top and bottom and is a nightmare to line up right.

M4-78.. will add later

No char textures

No weapon textures

---------------------------------------------------

REMEMBER VIEW THE ENTIRE LEVEL OF EACH PLANET BEFORE YOU MAKE FINAL JUDGMENTS.......ALSO LOOK AT DETAILS

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I SUGGEST 1GB OF RAM MINIMUM.............

narrks6.jpg

----------------------------------------------

I HAVE TROUBLE UPLOADING FROM WHERE I AM SO NARRSHADAA WILL YOU THIS LINK BELOW

Enough talking

---------------------------------------------------

Downloads have been split by planet because of the large file size

---------------------------------------------------

Place entire folder NOT the rar file in the override folder

UPDATE: I added Harbringer, Peragus and Telos to my opinion. Also, I removed what I think about Nar Shaada because I didn't downloaded it after green removed.

Onderon, Korriban and Harbringer - that is perfect in my opinion. But one question: why when I put Korriban texture to my override, this retextured Ebon Hawk too (but only on this planet)? It didn't happen with rest of texture.

Dantooine - good but I do not like rebuild Jedi Enclave.

Dxun - this jungle is just great and I love this "new" waterfall but... what the hell did you do with Mandalorian's camp!? When we talking to Mandalore we can say him "Your camp looks like it's seen better days." With your mod this camp looking better than palace on Onderon.

Malachor - Surface I really like. Same with Trayus Academy of the out side. But in side academy? Original looks MUCH better (Except Trayus Core, that new is beautiful :)).

Harbringer (EDIT: Em, I'm stupid idiot. I talking about Ravager :xp: - em... The worst thing from this entire mod. Maybe texture is nice, but not to the Ravager!

Peragus - Looking nice. It's very different than original one, but... very nice. I just don't like rooks texture, but rest is great.

Telos - Polar region is... weird, really, I don't like it. Same as some texture in entire Citadel Station (especially in TSF 'quater'... I couldn't find better word for this :xp:). I don't like a cantina: you could make this like a one on Nar Shaada, I don't like what you did with this one on Telos. Also, I hate one texture in docks, but I don't sure which one :xp: Sorry, I deleted it and I don't sure what was it :( Last 'bad thing' was glass in military base.

Overral, 8/10, -1 because of Ravager, -1 for Trayus Academy and Mandalorian Camp on Dxun. I'm sure you could do some stuff better, anyway, good job, I'm sure I couldn't do "even" that.

I have never liked the Obsidian textures, so this mod is something I REALLY want to get! Having done some retexturing myself, I admire your efforts tremendously. It gets 11/10 from me.

I use the Nigel Tufnel ratings system, so mine go 1 higher........

Honesty helps authors improve. Giving them a 10/10 'just because they tried' can overinflate a modder's ego and make them think they're better than they are. Don't try to tell people not to rate a mod as they feel it deserves just because 'someone worked hard on it.'

Hopefully we all work hard on our mods, but most of us like to hear criticisms so we can improve. :)

Speaking of which, just judging from the screenshot posted the textures look distractingly busy. Might have gone overboard just a bit.

This modder clearly took a signifigant amount of time to develop this mod, and sometimes effort should be incorporated into a score on a similiar level or more so than than the actual content. What's the incentive to make more mods if you take the time to do it and then receive low scores? Of course constructive criticism can be stated, but there's more to a score than just content. Maybe there can be seperate scores for content and effort? :)

Either way, 10/10 from me, awesome job!

Scores are stupid and meaningless anyway. I hate getting them, myself. They don't actually tell you anything beyond how many fanboys/girls you have. :p

OK, I downloaded this and what can I tell? As allways, screenshot are better than texture in game:xp:

Nar Shaada - I don't like this green in docks. In that big city this green looks weird. But rest of planet is great: especially Jekk'Jekk Tar's tunels. I love them now.

Onderon and Korriban - that is perfect in my opinion. But one question: why when I put Korriban texture to my override, this retextured Ebon Hawk too (but only on this planet)? It didn't happen with rest of texture.

Ok, that's all. Telos, Harbringer and Peragus I prefer this by Obsidian so I'll not tell annything about them. At this moment, I can rate this mod to only 7/10 (-1 because of Ravager, -0.5 for Trayus Academy, -0.5 bacuse of green on Nar Shaada and -1 for Dxun).

Well your honesty is cool but you have to remember i had to try and come up with ways to make each planet look diffrent, and not look the same really thats difficult. But at least you like some planets... Thanks

The EBON hawk folder takes care of the textures for the majority of the planets. Korriban uses its own so it had to be put in that folder too

I´m not sure to download it... Can you post mor screenshots of the planets?

Thanks n_n

Threres thumbnails of the planets on the filefront site underneath

did u redo goto's yacht?

Yes i did

And by overboard you mean by todays texturing standards or post kotor 2 no bump mapped textures

Combined 4 posts. Consider using the multiquote button for this- d3

Thank you i did spend alot of time doing this so if you like it thanks if not sorry. I was just tired of these flat no depth textures and no one else was doing this on a grand scale so o went for it. So its out with the old and in with the new

Thank you

Heh. This looks awesome. The graphics look really nice, however, I wouldn't be able to download this for my TSL, b/c I'm having trouble running it really smoothly on medium graphics :p

Great looking mod, though. It really looks like a lot of effort was put into this, and paid off.

Well it looks fairly unrealistic because it just looks like a hodge-podge of varying styles with no underlying theme, and there's just too much going on. Subtlety has its place right alongside the hectic.

Any graphical mod is usually something, people either love or loath.

I think its the kind of mod that a user needs edit to their preference, I know I love some of the textures (Peragus and Onderon look awesome) and hate others (the floor on Nar Shaada for example). And as such will modify accordingly.

Personally I would give this 8/10 and give great credit for all the effort that has gone into this mod. You should PM Shem, about getting it up on KotORFiles.

Also....

SHEMS NAR SKYBOX WAS KEPT IN ITS GREAT

That's not Shem's its Sharen Thrawn's - if you include it, you have to have permission, and should give correct credit to those modders whose material you used.

Well, I just got through Telos and onto the Ebon Hawk.

Telos is excellent. Very good quality all around. Especially the wilderness areas. I'm not sure if the ice texture for the top of the polar area is quite right, though. Don't get me wrong, it looks awesome, but it'd be pretty hard to walk around on all the ice without falling on your face. And forget running around fighting HK droids. Loved the inside of the Polar Academy.

The Ebon Hawk, though... blargh. Personal preference, I know, but the colors... doesn't feel like the interior of a ship at all. A bit of color here and there is one thing, but the entire thing bright red is way too much for me.

That's my main general complaint so far. Yah, sheet metal gets boring after a while, but it is what it is. The bright colors at various places (like the wierd oily-texture blue and green tiles in the Telos cantina and other places on Telos) seem out of place. Especially since some of the colors don't look like painted metal, but almost like stained glass (not a great construction material for ships and military installations). If you want colors, I'd recommend keeping it looking like painted metal (which is usually much less shiny than regular metal), and tone down the colors a bit so they aren't so bright.

It's a pity the cutscenes make everything wierd, though. I skip them half the time anyway, but its wierd seeing nice improved textures, then flash to a cutscene and back to the originals.

Just my opinion. I like what I see overall, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you did with the other areas. Nar Shaddaa will be my next destination.

My mistake Sharen Thrawn's skybox is great

I used a high def tv most of the time so are colors may be different wat see i might niot see as far as brightness

As far as the colors in the clubs i personally thought it added a little life

Dxun dosent have a new skybox yet because it uses one texture double sided top and bottom and is a nightmare to line up right.

To be honest I'm doing a skybox mod and Dxun is pointless anyway, you can't see it because the tree line is so high in pretty much all the modules. I wasn't a fan of most of your skyboxes as generally they didn't fit in with planets; e.g. Dantooine is flat grass lands...

I'll post up a few screenies... I have been through it all now; impressive piece of work (I don't agree with all the textures ;) but have deleted the ones you don't like). On Korriban, you have put the wrong texture in for the Ebon Hawk - so you need to change/delete the current one.

Anyways here is some of Xarwarz hardwork;

Thanks for the screens, jonathan. Needed some before trying this out. I also was a bit divided when it comes to this mod. But some of these textures looks really awesome, which definitely deserves some praise. Like jonathan, I'll keep the ones I like and delete the ones I dislike. :)
