Darth krunchy Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 I saw a commercial on channel G3 that had a clip of an Imperial Star Destroyer crashing in front of a robed figure (presumably a powerful Jedi). It looked freakin' cool. Does anybody know what game this was? I know I'm not giving y'all much to work with, but it's all I've got.
jonathan7 Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 The Force Unleashed... http://www.lucasarts.com/games/theforceunleashed/ http://www.forceunleashed.net/
Darth krunchy Posted July 15, 2008 Author Posted July 15, 2008 Thanks. That looks amazing. I'm definitely going to need a new computer before I can play that one!
Ctrl Alt Del Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 I'm definitely going to need a new computer before I can play that one! I'm a sadic, just found out that I am: Sorry, Krunchy, but there're no plans for a PC version of the game.
Darth krunchy Posted July 16, 2008 Author Posted July 16, 2008 I'm a sadic, just found out that I am: Sorry, Krunchy, but there're no plans for a PC version of the game. I'll need to get an XBox or something then. It just looks so incredible!
Sabretooth Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Does anybody know what game this was? I know I'm not giving y'all much to work with, but it's all I've got. Arr, that be more than what we can work with, me matey! That is one of the *counts on fingers* 5 pieces of concept art that are making the game enticing and in any way unique.
GeneralPloKoon Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Excuse my rudeness but its funny you just found out about it. But it will be awesome!
Darth krunchy Posted July 17, 2008 Author Posted July 17, 2008 Excuse my rudeness but its funny you just found out about it. But it will be awesome! I don't have a playstation or x-box, just found this site, and actually installed KotOR 1 about a month ago for the first time on my computer. Heck, I haven't owned a gaming console for over 10 years. Anyway, better late that never, right?
GeneralPloKoon Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Actually the best version of The Force Unleashed is on the Xbox 360 and PS3 meaning more money you can get the cheaper version on PS2 though. I still haven't played games such as X-Wing Alliance so i've missed alot too.
Astor Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Actually the most graphically impressive version of The Force Unleashed is on the Xbox 360 and PS3 Fixed.
Darth krunchy Posted July 17, 2008 Author Posted July 17, 2008 Is there anyplace online I can view the differences in the graphics? Also, what's the price difference (the last console I had was a Playstation that cost me $90) in the console and game? Thanks!
RyuuKage Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 there's no difference graphically between 360 and PS3 Wii is slightly better than PS2, and PSP and DS are the bottom rung, obviously.
Ctrl Alt Del Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 there's no difference graphically between 360 and PS3 versions of TFU. Fixed.
Burnseyy Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 woop, i'm glad I bought an Xbox 360 now. I can't wait for this to come out - the new trailer looks awesome! ps. this argument about 'xbox is better than ps; ps is better than xbox.' it's juust a games console - ive had to deal with this argument since i was like 11!

Agreed, it is childish. Every true gamer knows there's no point in arguing. Besides, we all know the 360 is the superior console

Besides, we all know the 360 is the superior console yay, sensible people! sorta, lol heck the only reason i don't have a PS3 next to my 360 (and all that other stuff, lol) is because of the price >.<
Darth krunchy Posted July 17, 2008 Author Posted July 17, 2008 So, starting from scratch, what's the least expensive way to play this game (console + game) ?
RyuuKage Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 least expensive? DS, PSP or PS2, not sure which lol but if you want to play the best version, go for next gen (PS3/360 or Wii).

Burnseyy Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Don't forget a Hi Def tv to truly appreciate the sheer awesome that will be created... ohh i have all the TV i could possibly want this game is going to be great! Agreed, it is childish. Every true gamer knows there's no point in arguing. Besides, we all know the 360 is the superior console
Jason Skywalker Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 So, starting from scratch, what's the least expensive way to play this game (console + game) ? I'd recommend you get a PS2 for this game. TheForce.net's review on the PS2 version said that even though the 360 and PS3 versions were better, the PS2 one was still a great game.

Out of curiousity, how much in american $$$ should the PS2 cost me, and how much will the game cost as well?
Ghost Down Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Actually the most graphically impressive version of The Force Unleashed would be on the PC. Fixed.
Astor Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Fixed. Oh, I agree with you, but that would be if it were actually coming out on pc...
