If it is real, then a murder investigation seems likely, because it looks to me like someone disemboweled and then froze one of the Mexican wolf kids. Apparently the penalty for streaking in California is death if you happen to have excessive body hair. :xp:

It's either fake, my ex-girlfriend, or Bigfoot.

You just made my day.

It would be cool if this were really Bigfoot, but I doubt it'll be the real thing. While I do believe Bigfoot exists, I don't believe even half the stories told about people seeing him. It's most likely just like most of those stories - some sort of hoax or publicity stunt.

Reading more about this apparent 'discovery', it seems that one of the men involved, Tom Biscardi, is linked to a similar Bigfoot discovery in 2005. He claimed then that he had a 'bigfoot', and offered to allow people to see it for money.

Source.

That was a hoax. What's the odds this one is too?

I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Yes. I am eagerly awaiting what they say tomorrow. I told my Dad about this because he had not heard of it, and he thinks that we might have a new species on our hands. :)

Does anyone else think that it is real? Or that it could even be out there?

Fox News xD

'Faux News. We Report. Everyone except Republicans Ignore Us'

As for the actual conference, I can't say i'm surprised, given the research I did in Biscardi. It's all a big scam, and an attempt for him to get his name on the news again.

*sigh* What lengths people will go to for five minutes of fame and recognition. The bigfoot scam is being done to death.

Agreed. The Patterson-Gimlin film, however, is still debated. It's gone through about ten independent investigations and examinations, and most cryptozoologists who've seen it have ruled the 'man in a suit' theory, arguing that the creature's strides, and physiology are too pronounced and complex for anyone to have faked.

But, given the fact that no bodies or other members of the species have been seen or recovered, a hoax is more likely.
