Litofsky
Interesting. It seems that it either sensed the baby's need for (caring), or its natural extincts wanted it to protect one of its babies. Nice story. Thanks for the link.
TriggerGod
http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/americas/08/22/argentina.dog.tale/index.html?iref=mpstoryview Wow. This can sprout some serious discussion. Dogs: Self-Righteous sense to protect the young-ins, or thinking it was a puppy.
Gargoyle King
Hmmm.... I wonder if Cesar Milan had any involvment? Anyway it just goes to how that animals can be truly unpredicatble. I think in this case the dog acted on behalf of the child as if the baby was her puppy. Great article, extraordinary stuff.

Great Scott!
As much as I love this and it warms my heart, I know it's just going to be an incentive for people to go like "HUMANS ARE PURE EVIL AND DOGS ARE SO CARING I MEAN LOOK AT THIS LIKE ONE NEWS ARTICLES THAT REALLY PROVES IT ALL HUMANS SHOULD DIE SO ANIMALS CAN LIVE ALONE." I applaud the dog for its efforts.
El Sitherino
Yeah, I heard about this. First I was like "Awwww" But then I remembered this **** happens all the time. Maternal instinct, whoopie.
igyman
Yeah, but let's face it - 90% of humans wouldn't give a rats ass for an abandoned puppy, they'd just walk right past it and yet dogs will protect the offspring of a different species. Dogs are different from an elevated society. Their concerns pretty much amount to sleep and food. Plus I think we all know a lot of people can be *******s. GodsillY
It was a slow day in the news? I still think it's amazing, but animals protecting abandoned people does happen a lot (man's bestfriend right?), I have heard stories about it four or five times, it's not always dogs, but animals do protect abandoned babies quite often. Nedak
The fact that she carried it to her "den" with her puppies was remarkable. Regardless on how often it happens. I thought it was interesting anyway (more interesting to me then the Transformer Sequel. No offense Reven).
El Sitherino
I never said it wasn't interesting. I was just commenting on the series of events that took place. I could make a meme picture for you if you'd like.
Sabretooth
Yes, a man takes care of a dog puppy pet and that's perfectly fine, but have a dog take care of its human pet and it's all news. Psheesh.
Da_man
"HUMANS ARE PURE EVIL AND DOGS ARE SO CARING I MEAN LOOK AT THIS LIKE ONE NEWS ARTICLES THAT REALLY PROVES IT ALL HUMANS SHOULD DIE SO ANIMALS CAN LIVE ALONE." You are a spy for aliens. Anyways, that;s pretty cool, even if it does happen all the time. Who knows, it could change the way we live. Rome was founded by twins left to die who were cared for she-wolf that happened to pass by.
Rev7
Hmmm.... I wonder if Cesar Milan had any involvment? No doubt. Wow, cool story. The only disturbing thing is that the mother of the child was 14 years-old. :/ Thanks for the link though.

TriggerGod
I was wondering if I was the only one who noticed that. (sigh) Other then maybe Han and Litfosky, I was probably one of the first who saw it.
Jason Skywalker
Now THIS is news, not those news about actors and actresses latest scuffle, always following them around like the plague.
Cygnus Q'ol
Other then maybe Han and Litfosky, I was probably one of the first who saw it. You saw but failed to comment about the child mother. That was what stuck out the most to me. I've heard of dogs and other animals doing human things and protecting children and other animals. My friend Lucan was raised by wolves till he was about 8 years old. ...and for some reason my memory holds on to a true story of a terrier who took on a pack of roving pit bulls that were about to attack a group of children playing. He gave himself up and instinctively charged the pack of pits as the children escaped...
Jae Onasi
The sad thing is the mother might not have realized what was going on, and it's highly likely at that age that she got pregnant due to abuse. The whole thing is very sad, and the only good news is the baby survived.

Revan 411
I thought it was interesting anyway (more interesting to me then the Transformer Sequel. No offense Reven). None taken. And as for this, this is very interesting, a dog protecting a young one... The sad thing is the mother might not have realized what was going on, and it's highly likely at that age that she got pregnant due to abuse. The whole thing is very sad, and the only good news is the baby survived That... might be true... "HUMANS ARE PURE EVIL AND DOGS ARE SO CARING I MEAN LOOK AT THIS LIKE ONE NEWS ARTICLES THAT REALLY PROVES IT ALL HUMANS SHOULD DIE SO ANIMALS CAN LIVE ALONE." Now, that's just plain rude... Anyway, this is very interesting news, thanks for the link!
