Mandalore The Shadow
So Trigger what are you working on besides the head and saber i saw?
TriggerGod
well, mainly just honing my modeling, learning more about 3ds, modeling my own area, (no, I will not post pics just yet. There isn't really enough to post anything worth while.) and finishing up on my anakin head. All that I have to do is export my models (the 3 sabers and the hood) and make a robe skin. TriggerGod
Well, I was toying around with the idea of giving Anakin's head a little more color. To me, right now, he looks rather pale. So, I nabbed the texture from K1 that has the same face as Ani's, used Match Color, did a few extra tinkerings, and I got an effect that I rather like. But, you won't be able to see the true quality of it now because I haven't yet implemented my new texture into the game, and my 3dsMax decided to quit on me. (I asked the autodesk board almost 12 hours ago, still no response, even though there is plenty of activity on the boards) So, for now, I am back to basics. Roughing it, GMax style. New: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Now, compare it to the old: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Like I said, I like the new better, because it gives Anakin more depth, more color. Before he looked kinda... pale. A real white boy.
TriggerGod
I've got quite a bit of updates now. First, good news-bad news. Good news: I've re-installed 3dsMax, and I am dual booting W7. Much better than Vista. Bad News: I know that 3ds will crash on me again in the future, and I had to uninstall most programs. ATM, all I have on my hard drive is TSL, 3dsMax, and Photoshop. I was able to back up all my data that I needed. All the scenes that I were working on are saved. Now, for some real updates. I've got a mini-texture update mod planned for an existing mod, but I should really wait for him to respond to me saying that I can use his model before I post a pic. So, in the mean-time, enjoy my cool looking Anakin Robes: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) I have the dark side robe done, I just don't have a pic, and its time to close up shop for me ATM. So not enough time. And I've already set up robes so that it'll use svösh's color skin, with an edited glove part. Thats the way I'm doing that mod. Next order of business: A gun model. To compensate for the lack of a sniper rifle, I may let the Weapon Enhancement mod use this gem: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) To go along with that, I am also modeling a tactical (read: darker with a reflex sight) desert eagle. It uses the same basic shape, but it has a reflex sight. And since its tactical, it won't be as shiny as its normal counterpart, but the sight will be transparent, except for the actual part where you take aim. When I have that textured, you'll see what I mean.
Canderis
Wow. That gun is... Amazing. The robes in 3ds look Sooooo much better than in gmax. Cant wait for some releases.
Sithspecter
That is one excellent texturing job on the Desert Eagle! Puts my pitiful Desert Eagle mod to shame.

TriggerGod
Thanks for all the positive comments on my items. Now, as promised... The Tactical Eagle. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) As you can see, it is a lot more stealth based than its Desert cousin. Just for the record, I hid the part of my model used for the sight, because I do not like the way that 3ds deals with alpha channels in renders. So, instead, I'll just show you a transparent of what I have for the sight. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Since I didn't save a transparent of the original sight, I had to delete the background using the alpha channel's information. And, as you can see, I still have some work to do on the sight. BTW, when I release this mod, I will include an optional bullet setup so that you can shoot bullets with your eagles instead of blaster bolts. EDIT: Now that I search for more pics of Desert Eagles, I find this. (I dub thee True Desert Eagle) I might have someone make a K1 version of this mod, and have this one be available as well, buyable on Tattooine. And I will base the rest of Tactical Eagle on the True Desert Eagle.
Miltiades
I'm impressed by the quality of your models, Trigger. Especially Anakin's robe is terrific.
TriggerGod
Wow, I have a lot of things to announce lately, eh? First, a skin job. As I said not too long ago... I've got a mini-texture update mod planned for an existing mod, but I should really wait for him to respond to me saying that I can use his model before I post a pic... Well, Prime has given me his permission, and I decided to post about these helmets. I personally thought that the textures looked flat on the helmets. Other than the visor, most of the helmet (and armor, for that matter) was flat colors arranged for the RC helmet. I have taken the liberty of making a texture edit that, IMO, looks better than the RC helmet we all got. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) If you aren't a hardcore RC fan, you might not recognize the bottom right helmet. It is the helmet used by Omega Squad, who was formed from the remaining members of destroyed squads at the battle of Geonosis. Omega Squad is clad in black katarn armor. I have yet to decide if I am going to make a texture edit to the armor. I might, so that the armor fits in with the helmet. And I will leave in the standard helmets when I release, in case you want to play as a... as Cody put it, 'shinys' As an added bonus, I'm going to let the helmets give you a bonus because of the personality/background of the clone that helmet belongs to. (ie. Boss's helm gives you a +2 to your persuade, and the Night Ops helmet gives you a +3 to your stealth) Next, like I said in my last post, I decided to model a bullet for the eagle. I decided not to model the .50 caliber bullets, as, in Real World, without proper training, one of them would probably end up snapping your wrist. So I modeled a much smaller bullet for use in the eagle. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) yes I know, realism in star wars isn't a good thing. Cry me a river. Drunkside
yes I know, realism in star wars isn't a good thing. Cry me a river. That cracked me up... I really like your work, nice skins and i think the bullet idea is great.
TriggerGod
A full 48 hours without an update!? Blasphemous. No, this post is not all spam, its just 52% spam, and 48% mystery meat. This mystery meat is about to be unmysteryed. I asked Drewton a while back for an enhanced anakin skin. And, today, lo and behold, inside my inbox is a new skin for me! So I placed it into 3ds and gave it a render. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Other than a few skinning errors on the top and back of the head, exporting all the sabers (and hood) will be all thats left. With my fresh override (no mods at all), there will be no problems. BTW, I tested this new skin and my robes in game, (using svösh's fixed model and textures so that the game's 'master' class robes aren't FUBARed) I just didn't take a pic. Besides, at this time, the hole I textured on the robe where the head is supposed to go is actually on his neck, so I have to fix that. And there is my issue of not seeing my dark anakin robe version, so I'm going to fix that as well.
Quanon
Cool updates Trigger! Do I see fancy bump-maps on those guns Found your way to all the fun effect maps on the materials. Be prepared to see your guns without those nice effects in the game. 3Ds is a vixen in showing your models great and smooth Kotor/TSL does this less >_<

TriggerGod
Time for an update! The detail is kinda hard to see, but, using Xavier's robe model (I know, Prime's mod said to ask him for the skins, but, all I really did with his skins was use it as a base for my own custom made skin) I was able to make my unrobed anakin tunic. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) As you can see, there are some spots that I need to touch up on (shoe tops and shoulder pad thing) As for actual progress on the mod, I am about 70% done. I've got all the skins and models done, and all I have to do now is: Fix up my new anakin head export my other 2 sabers, and re-export one of them. add shader files make uti files for robes and items 2da edits If I work hard for the next week, I might have it done before June. SW01
The texture work there looks great, TriggerGod - the leather especially. Should look well in game. Looking forward to seeing this pack released, after having followed its development. Great work at all levels!
Marius Fett
That's a sweet looking robe. If you can get the leather to reach the belt, it'd be even better. And where's this area you've been making then?
TriggerGod
And where's this area you've been making then? I haven't done any progress on it since I first posted about it, but if you really want a pic of it... Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) The texture of the landing pad isn't final, its just a placement texture to make it looks pretty. I guess today I'll work on its flotation devices, which will include emitters (the things that made the purple haze in Quanon's/GM's Junk Yard games mod)
