ock_2002 Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 ...or is it from S&MS03? You be the judge... http://twitpic.com/tz0al
elTee Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 I've been wondering about that. Everyone seems to be saying "Maniac Mansion?! OMG!" but I don't get how they made that leap. Enlighten me, someone!
Thrik Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 I look at that and it makes about as much sense as Tones' phone calls when he's dosed up. Someone enlighten me. ;
Bagge Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 I'm sure it's Sam & Max S3-artwork. You can see Max's ear in the lower right corner.
AlfredJ Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 They were hinting at switching characters in future Telltale games again in the future, like in Bone and DOTT, during the Our Telltale Heart webcast last night. Someone from the Telltale team mentioned something about possibly doing that again, and everyone just started laughing and talking about how they couldn't say more about that at the moment. You could use that mechanic in just about any franchise, but it feels like the staple of the Maniac-series to me. This, however, is probably some sort of Sam & Max christmas card/concept art. You can clearly see Max's ear in the lower right. I have no idea why people assume it's got something to do with MM/DOTT.
Thrik Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 I'm still trying to work out how the link was made between that and 'hinting at DOTT'.
Kroms Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 It's probably Sam and Max Season Three, just because it looks like Ryan Jones's concept art (that colouring is all him) and I doubt he's been working on Tales, S&M03 AND DotT for the past 5 months or so.
WillTTG Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Haha, no, that was really just a "you know, we haven't done that in a while. It was cool." comment. As for the twitpic in question, I'm pretty sure that will be revealed in the near future. NO PROMISES!
Capn_Nacho Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 If that's Steve Purcell's I'll eat my hat. The rendering and the way the forms are abstracted looks nothing like his work. And I don't see why this would be Maniac, either. Especially since that really does look like Max's ear...
Nickelstein Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 I really can't bare to look at DOTT in 3D with the Telltale Engine
Jake Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 I really can't bare to look at DOTT in 3D with the Telltale Engine Fortunately we're all spared from any situations involving you baring yourself, since DOTT in the Telltale Engine doesn't exist.
elTee Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Fortunately we're [making] situations involving... DOTT in the Telltale Engine. Woot!
Nickelstein Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Fortunately we're all spared from any situations involving you baring yourself, since DOTT in the Telltale Engine doesn't exist. Thank God for that!
