Sk-F Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Straight from Steve Purcell's blog, aka Spudvision: It's both amazing and amusing how Guybrush looked like back then. http://spudvisionblog.blogspot.com/
Monkey Mania Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Someone needs to make a sprite edit for this Guybrush.
Edward van Helgen Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 He's wearing the same shirt I love the (pyrite) parrot btw
Snugglecakes Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 um... Laserschwert? Just wondering... if you've.... seen this.... for no particular reason...
SyntheticGerbil Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Haha, I hate this cover idea. It's their faces. It must have been super early for Purcell to have thought Guybrush having a square jaw and big neck was suitable for the character.
Thrik Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Yeah, Guybrush and Elaine just look like... wankers. :s
Gabez Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 I guess it's a Raiders of the Lost Arc reference as well. Elaine looks like she's just done a poo and Guybrush has smelt it.
Laserschwert Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 um... Laserschwert? Just wondering... if you've.... seen this.... for no particular reason...
Fealiks Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 He's hinting at you to make a poster. I think this is the highest resolution, though, but I guess you could ask Steve.
Laserschwert Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 But it's only a pencil drawing... not that poster-worthy. Pencil drawings are only artbook-worthy. So, Steve...?
SyntheticGerbil Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Steve Purcell really needs some artbooks. The only things I have are the two Sam and Max comic-con sketchbooks which have ceased being made and the stuff in the Rogue Leaders. Well, and his comics too, but those aren't really art books. What he's posted in his blog alone would make a nice somewhat thick trade paperback with the glossy pages and fresh book smell.
Remi Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 In some ways it reminds me of the EMI PS2 cover. What a thing of beauty that was.
MusicallyInspired Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 This should be remade with improved likenesses. That would be a neat Special Edition box art.
