Wildstar Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Cracken, apparently, my sister has been wearing bifocals since she had my little nephew, who is 7 now. I just have the standard bifocals, but my sister has the progressive (no lines) lenses.
Keyan Farlander Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 A pretty good run this morning. I find this colder weather very good for running - it's cold at first, but then it's more refreshing as the run goes on.
K_Kinnison Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 *knock on wood* almost 37 years old and still have near 20/20 vision I guess according to my wife tomorrow is saint nicks day, and her teddy bear and my cat will be getting gifts tonight
Cmdr. Cracken Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Christmas shopping done. Whew. (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.) Figured you guys would like this.
edlib Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 One of the longest days of my life so far... 7 metal bands in a row. The stage had 15 GINORMOUS guitar amps on stage... plus a HUGE bass rig, and a ton of drums and keyboards. But this is not the metal I grew up with... oh no. The guitars all sound like amplified diesel engines grinding away on the cusp of catastrophic failure... and the vocals all sound like Cookie Monster... gargling... with Drano. No melodies. All aggression. Long day. Ugh.
Keyan Farlander Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 A friend showed me that video the other day, Crack. Excellent stuff!
K_Kinnison Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 My Packers are 12-0 and have won their Division. Likely will get Homefield advantage through the playoffs. I also just became a (very small part) owner of the Green Bay Packers, And am 25000th in line or so for season tickets.
Wildstar Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Ah, the Green Bay Packers...the only publicly-held franchise in North American professional sports.
Keyan Farlander Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Christmas shopping got done over the weekend. Now...we wait.
edlib Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I'm working every day for the next 2 weeks. I don't know when I'll get a chance to think about Christmas. I'm really glad I don't make a big deal about it... otherwise, I'd be ****ed.
Keyan Farlander Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I think I might take the week before Christmas off. I automatically have the week after Christmas off. So that would be a nice break.
Rogue15 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I made it through scout osut. nice being home! loved the training!!!
Cmdr. Cracken Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 A friend showed me that video the other day, Crack. Excellent stuff! There's also the Epic Rap Battles of History. They have Done Darth Vader v. Adolph Hitler twice now.

edlib Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Weird weekend at work... Friday night: A couple of modern jazz bands. Yawn. Saturday night: John Waters... ultra filthy gay filmmaker talking about Christmas... and stuff. Today: New York MegaChurch filming a service in here. Covered all the bases this weekend I think...

Keyan Farlander Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Not so tired or lazy this morning. 4.5 miles in the bank!
edlib Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 A couple more days of mad insanity... then I can have my life back! Yay!
Keyan Farlander Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Another 4.5, a minute faster this time. But is it really 4.5? I just realized I kind of assumed and never really drove the route to properly measure it. Feels like it might be a little bit more than that. I'll check it out tonight, I think.
Keyan Farlander Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 All Christmas presents wrapped. All Christmas cards mailed. I'm on top of this Christmas stuff, baby.
K_Kinnison Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Doing my Christmas shopping tomorrow. Wife is harping on me to stay under budget for gifts, since i usually shop til I go broke.
Wildstar Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Only thing I need to get is a gift card for my big nephew...everything else I do for Xmas is done.
