Keyan Farlander Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I predict that dog eats someone within a year.
Rogue15 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 well at least he'll deter people from wanting to play knockout with me. also, i went with a breeder so i'm paying some good money for him. shelters and rescues wanted references, fenced in yards, not to be away for more than 2 hours but have a steady income, etc, ridiculous. i tried craigslist too, that's where i got my pittbull from but that didn't work out...
Keyan Farlander Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I feel like an apartment is kind of a small space for a dog that size, even if you walk him often. You'll have to train him carefully. Did you think of a name yet?
edlib Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 My vote: Darth Dog. Winter is here. No denying it now. It's freezing outside, and a substantial storm is predicted for the weekend. The busy weekend I'm working long days over. Hope the storm is a complete dud... or so massive it shuts everything down. I hate dealing with a crappy snowy day that isn't enough to cancel events, but totally sucks to commute to work and back in.
Cmdr. Cracken Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 German Shepards require an INTENSE and LARGE amount of time to exercise and train properly. Only get one if you can dedicate several (liek 40) man hours a week personally training and exercising it. They have a **** ton of energy and need to be trained properly. Easier dog? Labrador Retriever.
edlib Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I've always wanted a Border Collie... but won't allow myself to get one for that exact reason: Not enough space or time to wear it out properly. Maybe someday... when I retire to the country...
Rogue15 Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Got him and fortunate that he is already housebroken his name is Archangel. Very nice dog and yeah I actually have that amount of time available until I'm finished with school! Got him from an Amish family so he's good with kids so that's a plus considering I take him up to my parents to play with my nephews lol
Rogue15 Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Also he's been dewormed has his shots and is certified.
Keyan Farlander Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Also, I'd like to restate my one pet peeve. The one thing people do that really, REALLY pisses me off. And that is not returning phone calls and messages when I have specifically asked a question in them. Is this just a thing young people do now? Like...people who are 25, even? Because seriously. SERIOUSLY.

SERIOUSLY. pfft interviewers and jobs DO IT ALL THE TIME, AND THAT'S PROFESSIONAL, YO! 'oh we'll get back to you' biggest lie on the planet earth. ill stay on unemployment like the rest of the population until the next world war starts. hell i should apply for food stamps, funny thing is...I PROBABLY QUALIFY.
Keyan Farlander Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Company Christmas party tonight at the Baltimore waterfront, so I'll be driving home late. I bet I get pulled over on the way home for some trumped up BS. When that happens I'll be sure to be as belligerent as possible to show the po-po that I don't take orders from THE MAN.
Rogue15 Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 be sure to do that with beer in hand!!!! (at least a fake beer)
Keyan Farlander Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Just got back. I managed to evade the law this time, but I passed SO many people pulled over by the police.
edlib Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Looking forward to shoveling my way back into my house tonight, after spending a long, long day at work with an incredibly lame Christmas show (Jim Brickman) for no extra money to make the suffering worth my time. It's the best of all worlds.
Keyan Farlander Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 It's the best of all worlds. Yes, the best of all worlds. I'm familiar with that place. I have a summer residence there Inconveniences caused by the ice and snow aside, though, I am loving this weather.
edlib Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 At least we managed to convince them to use our piano... identical to the one we were going to have to bring in from the truck (and then push back up the hill to the ramp, and then back into the truck during the heaviest of the storm later tonight.) Except that ours is already acclimatized to the temp in the room, and is pre-mic'ed. It's been an easier-than-expected day... but the weather is going to make getting home tonight an adventure, to say the least.
Keyan Farlander Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Have you had anyone there playing the newer DSI synths? I was thinking of buying either the Prophet 08 or the Prophet 12, but I'm having a difficult time choosing between them. They are pretty different animals, and they both have things I like.
edlib Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 I don't think I've seen any of those. They look interesting. We mostly see Nords, Yamahas, and the occasional Roland, because that's what the college owns and provides... plus a lot of laptops running software synths, plugged into MIDI controllers.
Rogue15 Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 going to take my pup for his first official walk!
Keyan Farlander Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 plus a lot of laptops running software synths, plugged into MIDI controllers. F that noise.
Rogue15 Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 easy teaching this dog how to walk. having so much fun!
