That's exactly how I feel about it.....I don't think you're a psychopath Jah. ;) I've had some of those revenge dreams myself........I think we all do. The big thing, like Datheus said, is whether or not we act on those feelings. I believe revenge dreams to be "normal."

Whatever the he!! that means!!

Revenge....those who seek it in dreams are the wise, in real life the foolish...

It's a lot better to do that in dreams cuz not only do you get to be macho instead of a geek (my situation), but it makes u feel like you've accomplished sumthin.

Jeez... I've had SO many weird dreams.

Probably the weirdest was this one where I was standing in the checkout line at a supermarket, and the guy over the intercom kept saying "Lug eat breakfast la food." He repeated that that for a while then started saying "Lug eat dangerous la food." For some reason, I was thinking about sausage patties throughout the dream.

I also had a dream where Hannibal Lector was chasing me around and then I wapped him with a baseball bat and he started doing the macarena... :eyeraise:

And I've also had a T-Rex dream (of course).

I dreamt that I was running around a schoolyard. This big T-Rex is running around. He swallows a kid whole, then walks up to me and suddenly says in that sniveling voice that the toy dinosaur from Toy Story had, "I don't like confrontations!" I think I had seen Toy Story recently.

Then my friend told me he once had a dream where he was beating me with a big fat shovel and I just WOULDN'T GET HURT!

I had a VERY nice lucid dream the other day.

I was grown up....had achieved my life dream of becoming a doctor, was head over heels in love with the girl of my dreams, and everything was great.

Almost undescribable.

Couple of weird things about my dreams.

I can "pick up" where I left off in any dream I can remember - and since I have a pretty good recall, this is a neat trick. Like having a DVD player inside my head that plays whatever dream I want.

I've had my share of bad dreams too. A reoccuring nightmare I've had since childhood has me diving into the deep end of a pool and swimming down to touch the bottom. As I open my eyes underwater I see that just above the top of the water is getting cemented over - there's like 2 inches to breath. I try to swim to the shallow end but it's getting cemented too quickly, so I swim in place. Then for some reason I hear the beeping of a phone off the hook (you know, the "beep beep beep beep beep beep" sound you hear in horror movies all the time). Then I hear the phone lady say, "if you'd like to make a call, please hang up and dial again," followed by a blood-curdling, angry scream. It's then that the water of the pool starts to rise until there's no room to breath. When i'm at the point where I can't hold my breath anymore, I wake up suddenly (and usually out of breath). Still scares the crap out of me to this day.

Nah...not scary.

I had another strange dream. It was a LUCID strange dream.

I was in my high school, and the fire alarm went off. Nobody moved. Time sorta seized itself, and everything went ice blue. I ran for my life. Terrified, took some some things from my science lab and made myself a makeshift flamethrower.

Ran through the hallways.....I saw no fire, smelt no smoke, and heard no screams. But as I got to the main exit....there was a girl. She wasn't like everyone else, she wasn't frozen in time, not ice blue, nothing. But she wasn't moving.....so I rolled her over carefully. She was cold...I could feel her temperature. And she was dead. It was....well, someone I'd like to think of as a girlfriend someday. And there was another kid from my grade. I hate his guts, always raggin me, but sorta the situation "wouldn't do nething because he's about a foot taller than you" deal. The bastard had a shotgun in his hand. And I let loose.

I attacked him with my "flamethrower," (feeling actual heat) and melted his bullets till he was out....and then I tried to light him on fire, but I ran out of supplies. Then we brawled. He started pummeling me with his gun (which hurt), and then I seized control. I got the gun, stepped on his arm, and bashed his arm in. The pain he was in....wouldn't like to imagine it. And then magically, there was one bullet left. "Game over, a$$ hole," I said.

And it ended. I woke up in a cold sweat, and a feeling of anxiety in my head.

But something freaky happened for real in school....

I found out this kid broke his arm during the night, and missed half of the day going to get a cast.

Coincidence? Is it really possible that my dream could have had something to do with his misfortune? Somebody answer me.

Preferrably Rhett :D

Pardon the stupid question, but what is lucid dreaming?

The difference between X-WingCD and Rogue Squadron 2's fighter levels; or, put another way, the difference between driving a car and riding on a roller coaster. Basically, you have conscious control of what you do and where you go, you're not just being dragged along by your subconscious.

Lunatic Jedi I again direct you to http://www.ld4all.com if you trully are interested. Or http://www.lucidity.com

Nice way to put it... rollercoaster/driving a car. I like to put it this way.... in a normal dream you are a character in the story (things happen to you) and in a lucid dream your making the story up as you go.

Beyond just being able to decide what you want to do in a lucid dream you can practice dream control where you literally shape the world and experiences around you. You could fly, visit exotic locales... beaches, mars, heaven. You can create people from nothing, be a jedi... and boys, get down with Princess Leia in the gold bikini. :D

I personally have created apples when I was hungry, flown, and summoned a beach to relax on before I had to wake up for work. Im just a novice right now but I do a lot of reading about LDing and hang out on the forums at ld4all and I keep practicing.
