Taos
*sees the light* With the encouragement of Boba Rhett, GorganFloss and a few others I think........I finally saw LOTR tonight!!!! As you all know.....what an incredible movie!!! I think I missed some parts of it, oh well, it's a five dayer so I'll have to watch it again! There is a lot to learn, I never did read the book, or even know it was a book for that matter It rivals AOTC in the depth and scale of the various locations, quite impressive. I didn't look at the box but did ILM do the work or was it some other company?? I also heard this is going to be a trilogy, when is the next one due out??? Boba Rhett
The next one comes out in fifty days or at least close to that. A new trailer comes out for it tomorrow. You should get the books. If you're amazed by the movies depth, you'll be blown away by the books. Make sure you read The Hobbit before you read LotR though.

Darth Groovy
So if the Hobbit is so important, why did they make LOTR first?
acdcfanbill
because the hobbit is already an animated movie

The Truthful Liar
No it wasn't. Besides the creators decided that there wasn't enough time to input or add anything from The Hobbit, so they went to focus on LotR which frankly is more important. Darklighter
I read the book way before seeing the movie...and to be honest I was a little worried about how they would put it on the big screen...but I take my hat off to Peter Jackson: he pulled it off a treat:DNow there's the small matter of the TTT to look forward too:Dhehe... Agen
Yeh, he made an excellent job of putting it on the Big Screen. I thought it might have been a major flop.

Darklighter
I think I'm going to make this clear to all who thought the ending was a bit of a cliff-hanger... There are 3 movies of LOTR, and it is one big story, so each ending is supposed to be a cliff-hanger! Just thought I'd clear that up:Dlol

PhantomHelix
I KNOW IT WAS A CLIFFHANGER! jeez......... but for a cliffhanger, it was awful.......them just walkin on this mountain thing.........it was awful.....ive seen cliffhangers before, like the ending of the empire strikes back, but this one was the worst........but the rest of the movie was awesome, and i cant wait for TTT to come out (look how strange we are, we have already come up with an abbreviation for a movie that comes out in 2-3 months lol )
