Ulna Shardes Space

Starr: Foolish being. Fire on the ship. But do not destroy it. *He closes his eyes, then opens them again* Tojo, have a few fighters sent out to attack him. A standard retrieval squad. But ensure that he escapes, alive, if not in one piece.

----------

Coruscant Streets

Rwos: Lokpihet? Persistent...doesn't that guy ever go away?

Gilian: Sure, they're drawing together to get stronger, but why? Why now? It can't be because of the incredible force we've got up against them...the Knights haven't bothered them before...

Rwos: We're close now.

-----------

Coruscant, Lower Levels

*The vehicles finally stop, deep inside Coruscant's structure. The vampires were nervous, muttering about the things of the abyss that could be creeping around them right at that moment...as well as the terrible feeling of being crushed brought on by the tight spaces and the knowledge that they had miles and miles of duracrete above them. Only Kvana is unaffected by the atmosphere. He gets out of the speeder and climbs downwards onto some overturned rock building*

Kvana: Yes, there are incredible things down here...and we are here for one of them.

*Kvana crouches and wipes away a thick curtain of webs and dust of eons to reveal a small, round plate. The vampires' enhanced vision let them see, even with the absolute darkness only pierced by their dim glowrods, that the structure showed a carving of the sun.*

Kvana: This is what we are here for.

Vampire: But how did you...what will we do with that?

*Kvana attempts to pick the plate up. It doesn't move. Kvana brushes more dust away, revealing the plate to be attached to a larger, hidden structure*

Kvana: You will see.

*Kvana opens the spellbook*

*Sir'din notices he has interceptors inbound.*

Sir'Din: "Well I'm not going to need this for very long..."

*Sir'din tears open a control box, crosses a few wires, and the engines fire up about an extra 20% then maximum. Warning signals begin to sound about possible engine failure, which would otherwise mean the fighter would blow soon.*

Sir'Din: 'Got to hurry.'

*Sir'Din pulls out a control pad and he presses a few buttons, a small freighter powers up and fly from behind an asteroid, and flys along side the fighter. Sir'din exhales all the oxygen in his system and blows the hatch, as he floats to an open port on the freighter. The air lock seals and Oxygen fills the room. The freighter on auto pilot breaks off into hyperspace. While the fighter explodes.*

*vertmor and sertmor gather a large sum of humans, gaged and blind folded, unconscious...*

Vertmor: *whisper to Kvana* "Where do you want the humans I believe we have a suffcant amount"

[edit]

*Vertmor and Sertmor Gather a particularly large sum of humans, gaged and blind folded.*

Vertmor: *attempts to use a comm to contact Kvana* "We have gathered a large sum of humans. We'll turn them as soon as possible, particularly all at the same time. I think the rush of magic might be useful."

*Over Comm: "Hello? Um, I think you have the wrong channel... um, sir..."*

Vertmor: "Oh yes, appologises. Ignore what you heard..." *Changes to 'proper' channel* "Kvana you there? I think I'm having some wha tis called 'culture shock' It seems rather unplesant."

((Tries to put in a little teh funnah ^_^))

((Actually a whisper is when a vampire speaks softly then 'transmits' it via telepathy. But I think your right, Kvana might be out of range... wait a min, they are in Coruscant, why waste their time trying to communicate primitively (well not really) they can be using more modern technology ^_^))

((OOS: I think Kvana is out of "whisper-range"...unless you mean something by that which you haven't explained yet...is it a form of telepathy?

Also, remember Kvana just wanted humans so they could be turned into vampires...to power the spell))

Kvana: *in comm* No. The time is drawing near too quickly. Start turning the ones you have as quickly as possible. And continue to gather more, if possible. It matters little whether you are seen, now...

Fortunately, unlike my kind, theirs need little time for the turning to take place.

*Kvana reads from the spellbook, which begins to glow*

Impera subleva, refectia. Tower of Light, I command you, rise from the dust and stand tall!

*A glowing ring of light surrounds Kvana. Another forms around him, then another, then another*

Impera subleva, impera subleva, admove hemus! By the power of this Book, I bid you rise!

*A red, glowing beam of light shoots up from the symbol of the sun, and up and up, piercing through the duracrete levels of Coruscant and bursting through the surface. The beam steadily expands, covering block after block in its hellish radiance.*

Kvana: I bid you RISE!

*The ground moves, then heaves. The vampires rocket upwards at incredible speed, carried on some immense object....building? racing for the surface. Kvana stands still, eyes shut, in the center of it all, the rings orbiting around him, and the symbol beneath him eerily lit*

Vertmor: "Fine then." *turns off comm* "Alright let do this thing..."

*Hordes of vampires begin to turn that mass amount of humans. Vertmor does not participate, but he watches the scene, making sure his children do not get killed by any intruders, if they come around...*

[This isn't really in my hands, the bad guys are your characters]

*The Remenants of Lokpihet leap on Deac and try to choke him. Deac kicks it off and ignites his sabers*

Deac: Go ahead. I'll be right along...

*Tojo is handing out orders to his commanders, giving them assignments across Imperial space.*

The Ess Pire shall be escorted by the Fade to Kuat for a shake down and refit, and the Venegence and her support fleet shall stay here and mop up. any question? *none were asked* Dissmissed.

*His officers walked off, headed to shuttles to take them to there command ships. He contacted his Helm officer though the com link*

Full speed to the Imperial Center.

*With that, the Titan lept into hyperspace.*

*Sir'din regains consciousness, coughing and weak.*

*Computer Voice* "Commander, current situation: Hyperspace, following reprogrammed route: Coruscant."

Sir'Din: "Comp..." *cough* "...computer, are you tracking any hostile spacecraft?"

*Sir'Din stands up.*

*Computer voice* "Positive hostile forces detected..."

Sir'Din: "Have you made any attempts to lose them?"

*Computer voice* "Negitive."

Sir'Din: "Alright, I'm heading to the bridge."

((Ya, but BD's got Lelan. I was kinda stalling for him to post.

Scar, what are you talking about. You can't detect hostile forces via hyperspace...at least I don't think so...*muddled and confused at the moment*))

Coruscant Streets

*Rwos stares at the immense red-glowing beam of light extending into the sky in the distance*

Rwos: What in...

Gilian: *eyes widening* It's in the center of the pattern. *Showing the scanner, with red dots representing vampires* The groups are converging on this spot. Some are surrouding it, creating a perimeter, others are simple moving around it...

*The ground begins to shake*

Rwos: *to Gilian* Do you sense that? *calls back* Deac, hurry! *to the others* We had better go...

----------

Coruscant, Tower

*The object Kvana and the other vampires were riding on finally began to slow. It bursts through the surface of Coruscant, the aura around it dissolving the surrounding buildings like so much mist. The object keeps moving up, up and up, and finally stops, with the ground far below.

The vampires could now see that they were in a sort of platform, in the top section of an immense tower. A stylized symbol of the sun was carved on all four sides. The tower extended down and stopped in the center of a immense courtyard. The red light dissipates.

Kvana looks down and smiles*

((well I can say two things: One if the computer was programmed to detect anythign following it to be hostile, it would. But in a case where something is traveling too fast to detect something traveling behind you in hyperspace, it would be as well difficult to 'chase' after one that when into hyperspace well before an intercept craft could be sent to track it...))

((OOS: I just don't remember if it's possible. Can someone (BD?) clear this up?

And as for chasing well it's called a tracking device.

Stoopid forums being down for so long.))

Coruscant

*Kvana descends the tower*

Kvana: *loudly, to the surrounding, stunned vampire crowd* This is the first step of our rising!

Random vampire: *seeing Kvana* You! What are you going to do with that?

Kvana: Soon the galaxy will fall to darkness. The shadows will take everything, and we will be at the forefront of the new age.

Vampire: But what are you going to do?

*Kvana tells them. Silence falls*

*Rwos and the others reach an opening in the buildings. They are given a clear view of the tower, and the vampires surrounding it like ants, up ahead*

*Deac's face turns white*

Deac: Great...um...hold on...

*Deac clicks his neck. His cyborg brain begins to whirr. The whiteness then drains*

I just hope they don't like the way I taste...

*Ignites Sabers*

*Gilian looks at Deac* I wouldn't be worried. Your blood's really diluted for your body - your scent won't exactly be screaming "delicacy". *looks back to the tower in the distance* This is their mass gathering alright. I don't like the looks of that tower...

Rwos: Magic power. Incredible amounts of it. Here? How could I have missed this before? Something's not right...

*A vampire leaps out of the shadows. Gilian promptly beheads it. It explodes into dust*

Gilian: We need to get closer. And fast, before more of them notice us. *She points to Kvana, although only Rwos can immediately see him because of the distance. The others just see a figure in a cloak standing on a platform above the rest* That's one of the leaders. Looks like he's orating. We need to hear what's going on. And we can't just fight our way through - too many of them.

Rwos: Won't we stick out a bit much in that crowd? Especially since our scent shows us up as living beings. Most of us, anyway.

Gilian: No. Look how many of them are carrying unconscious living beings...looks like a mass vampire-turning. One or three more mortal scents in that crowd isn't going to raise any alarms.

*High above Deac and co., the red glow from vampiric eyes watches the small group in the dark. He steps out pulls his demonic sword out.*

Vertmor: *loud enough for Deac an co. to hear* "Mortals, such weak creatures, I'm afraid that the 'gifts' of the undead are only resurved to 'certain' crowds..."

*A horde of vampires leaps up behind the grinning Vertmor.*

Vertmor: "I want them alive, kicking, preferably screaming..." *Riases sword to 'hold' position, til he lowers it*

((Sorry guys, been offline. Got a great plot twist though.

Oh and Scar Hyperspace is another dimension, thinbk of it like every ship creates a black hole then jumps in.

All jumps are preprgrammed.

Once in hyperspace you can't change course and if you over shoot your exit your stuck.

Tracking is impossible however it is possible to calculate where a ship is headed by its entry vector, since all courses must be linear.))

Flax: You vampires are always so cocky. Drago, show him.

Drago: With pleasure, Sire.

*Drago swings his longsword, killing one vamp, he then reverses and stabs another. Then, with incredible strength he rips a vampire haert out. As Drago holds the heart it begins to beat, then the vampire crumples and the heart dies again.*

*Drago steps back.*

-------------------------

*above, in the inhabited levels Lelan senses what Kvana is about to do.*

-------------------------

*Close to Lelan a man appears, out of the ether, he is dressed in white and he4 in unarmed.*

--------------------------

Flax: Back, set up the repeaters!

*The warriors fall back and set up the repeater blasters, as well as flanking and rear shields.*

((No, you can't get stuck in hyperspace...everything I've seen indicates that you can just turn off the engines and drop out...or get to close to a gravity well and do the same.

Thanks for clearing up the tracking thing.

Great plot twist? Is it the kind that I should be putting off cliffhanger-RPG-ending-ness for? ^.^

Oh, one more important thing: The tower has risen to the inhabited levels - it isn't underground at all. It's sticking up into the sky as tall as Coruscant's highest buidings. Right in public view))

*Starr enters the room* Don't call me Emperor. That is still my master's title. Contact Flax, if you can...

----------

Kvana: Ah, the vampire hunter Drago. I see you're as showy as ever.

*Kvana opens another spellbook dramatically, playing to the vampire crowd*

Kvana: Luckily I have just the spell for you. *Kvana lifts the book high and shouts* Chains of earth, wrap this mortal in your grasp!

*Streaks of light rip from the book towards Drago. They pass through him and into the duracrete below his feet. The duracrete animates, and chain shapes shoot up from it and wrap around him. Vampires rush towards him en masse and swarm him. Kvana sets down the spellbook and picks up another. He looks over at Flax' warriors*

Kvana: Congelo sphaera.

*A circle of freezing light rises from the book, expanding as it got higher, and forming into a sphere. Kvana directs it with his hand over the Knights, then inverts his hand. The gigantic sphere drops, shattering and freezing everything that remained under it in ice.

Kvana looks upward. Dawn is nearing*

Kvana: *holding the book he'd conjured the freezing sphere from* Major adumbro eliciolicitum. For the area and length of my will, let all of my kind walk in a shadow world.

*The book begins to spark, and yellow lightning runs across it. Kvana could sense he was close to overloading the book's power.

But that was all right. The spell, which would protect all vampires within a certain radius from the sun's deadly light when dawn came, was only needed for a short time. After that it wouldn't matter.

The sun peeks over the horizon. Kvana stares into it*

Rwos: The vampires here outnumber us at least a hundred to one. *looks around at the people filling the streets around them, gazing at the highly-out-of-place glowing tower in shock and surprise* Damn! Civilian casualties are about to become a very big problem!

Gilian: Dawn is here. They should be...*seeing what Kvana is doing* What?

*As the sun rises further, shadows mysteriously descend across all the vampires. Gilian looks surprised as a shadow falls over her as well, not touching either the ground or her companions*

Vertmor: "Ah, my children's protection from the morning sun... Brace yourselves mortals!!"

*Vertmor begins to lower the Reaver, but stops only a small portion of he way, he begins to look around almost 'looking' for something that isn't there...*

Vertmor: *softly* "Something very evil lurks near... Not our kind..." *snifs air* "Mortal!? Most likey from all these turnings..."

------

*High above wating the situation from afar, watches the situation while preforming his little floating trick, Fused Irvine waits...*
