Rogue15
So i don't have work this weekend, like on my schedule, so i invite S1DC over and we stay up til like 4:30 am and i beat chapter 10 in turok and we go to sleep and 4 and a half hours later (9 am) who calls? PIZZA HUT!!!! My mom picked up the phone and yelled down the stairs 'PIZZA HUT!!!! YOU'RE GOING TO WORK TODAY GET UP!!!!' or something like that, i picked up the phone and was told i have to cover 12-4 and i aws like 'do i haaaaaaave to?????' and well, i have to, even though i'm piss-tired, but who cares more, me or mom? I say 'alright i'll do it' and hang up the phone, my mom is like 'NO MORE SLEEPOVERS YOU HAVE A JOB' and all this bullcrap that parents liek to spout, so i'm thinking 'wtf does she want my life to be ruled by my ****ing job' and she says 'you better make sure you find out why your not getting at least 20 hours of work next week' and i say 'you suck' and walk down the stairs to get my ****ing work clothes and i go up and take a shower and now i'm pretty happy about working 4 hours or whatever, but under a few conditions: 1: i don't have to do the dishes 2: i don't have to sweep or mop the ****ing floors 3: i don't get told to go faster #3 is the one i would like to rant about now....the manager in charge is such a nuisance i'm like working and stuff and doing the ****in rotations and then she comes by and literally BREATHES down my neck, and then says 'you need to be going a little FASTER' and i'm thinking in my mind 'let me ****ing do it my own ****ing way you stupid bitch this is rotations i don't have a ****in time limit so LEAVE ME BE OR FACE THE WRATH OF KIOET!!!!!' and i pretty much ignore her when she says go faster cause wtf does 'go faster' really mean? I'll obviously have to sacrifice accuracy when i go faster and that makes me go slower cause i screw the ****in thing up and have to rip a few toppings off or i forget to put more cheese on before i put alot of pepperoni on and then she comes and ruins my perfect pizza yesterday i wanted to KILL her for doing that it looked so damn perfect... on top of ALL that, i was hoping to see The Two Towers today around 3 pm and well, looks like that is not going to happen!!! so kids, when you get a job, rule #1 is: Don't let your parents know about it. edlib
Welcome to the world of the working, bud. I'd like to tell you it gets better,.. but... The only hope is to work your butt off until you become the one telling everyone else to go faster,.. but that's usually a position of higher stress, because if anything goes wrong or headquarters doesn't think the numbers are high enough, then it's all on your head. So, you can't win. Ever. Good luck.

Rogue15
i'm not having problems w/pizza hut really, it's just my mom is basically forcing me to hate my job by not letting me handle decisions on my ****ing own, i'm almost 19 for god sakes, maybe i'll go ask a few girls over to the house and see what she does. Kuuki
I have a job, but i get paid for by my school, so i really have a limited amount of hour i can work a week like 15, should be 20, but my school, if you knew what it was like, you'd know why the cut the amount of funding... jez it coudl really use it... although, aside from me not being able to work 20 hours but 15, i can flex my time plus I have a cool boss that looks like Fox Mulder, no really... Rogue15
well i am pretty tired now. work wasn't too bad though i did have to sweep and mop only out front though hehe. i didn't mind going to work, it's just that i REALLY could have used a day's forewarning. my mom said i can't have anymore sleepovers until i get 20 hours a week. figures....i think my parents are trying to rule my life now cause i've been away from it for 5 years during homeschool (where i basically stayed within 1 mile from home ALL THE TIME)........ o well. i'm not complaining cause i walked home and got a coffee w/2 sugars and 1 cream it should keep me up for a while and if it doesn't i'll demand a refund! Redwing
Your parents sound like my dad was, except without the OCD and various other mental-psychological problems. =/ Actually, scratch that, he wouldn't have ever allowed me to get a job. Or leave the house. -.-
LukA_YJK
Hey Rogue15 be strong! One guy here have a prinsiple he call HVIO - Hay ver, ishinde ol that meens "say aha, do what you do..." and it works good for him. But it is not as simple for me... I think everythig is for the better. The Force is with you... always... Finally what I want to say, try to not blame your parents. Whatever happen, they are the closest people. and [General Rieekan]"Don't do anything foolish like" asking a few girls over to the house[/General Rieekan]
Rogue15
i don't truly blame them, they're trying to look out for me and make sure that i get the best out of life. I can kinda see their 'point of view' w/me turning 19 and adulthood coming up and all and they're freaking out and stuff. hehe I don't think i'd invite any girls over even if i was allowed. Guest Jed
I know that your parents are looking out for you, but that still does suck... Havin a prob myself actually...got the old "2 hours between using your computer and videogames a day...we don't want you turning into a computer nerd"..... I replied "Well, you guys are about 5 years late..." And this happens RIGHT after I get a brand new laptop....the irony is killing me.... *collapses*
ZBomber
*pisses on Rogue15* Don't be calling your bitchy boss a bitch. Heh, don't worry dude, Pizza Hut won't be your job forever. Try working for a video game compnay. Yeh, Jedi, my mom made me do that, but she forgot about ti, so I'm on the computer for 4 hours (actually, I'm not on as much anymore, because its a big sport time for me, baseball and tennis camps, and Basketball games. )

Cmdr. Cracken
My parents have an agreement with me and work. if my grades stay up, i can work as much as i want, and do whatever. as soon as my grades fall below a 2.7 GPA, they curtail my stuff. which is fair, i think. SuicidalXWing
I know a few people who have basically the same problem. I don't though, but then again I never see my parents. In the last three weeks I've probably talked to my mom three hours at most. That'll become even smaller soon though.
Al-back from the BigWhoop
i live with my parents (which makes things easy for me, since my parents house is 2 blocks from the university and in the same block as my work). some time ago i though about moving out, but it would b too expensive and not so usefull, so i decided to stay with my family. my parents really dont care where i go, if i go to work, wot time i come back, etc. as long as i dont get fired and i get a diploma. sure, **** happens to me to, but its like they say, "after **** falls in your life, your life is fertilized"
Taos
Yeah that sucks 15.....it happens, even after you have gone away from college for three years and just moved back in for a short time. They still treat you like you never left.... Like my mom tells me sometimes......"it's a parent thing, one day you'll understand" *shudders to think*
