BlackDove Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 Allright so I'm off to the post office today, and (bear in mind this happened to me before) the enterance has these nice sliding doors, you know, sensors and all, the kinda door that are 1337. So, I enter and do my stuff, and as I'm about to walk out the doors made about a second delay in opening. So as I'm waiting for them to open I hand gesture in a way which would look like I'm opening it by using The Force. So they of course open (once they sensed my fat @$$ was in front of them), so as I step out I realise what the hell I just did. Naturally the reaction at first was "YOU STUPID IDIOT" however along the way home I found it to be quite funny. So main purpose of the thread = question. Have any of you done something similar to what I have? (of course counting out the fact that you tried to force-pull your remote, we all did that)
BCanr2d2 Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 I always do that walking towards doors like that, most of them have the sensor pointing too close to the door, which makes you have to slow down to get through them. I prefer to have a newspaper or magazine in my hand so I can set it off from further away........

ShockV1.89 Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 Hm. I did something like that once. Oftetimes, I'll often say in my head "open now" when I'm waiting for the elevator doors to open, and try to see if I can time it right. I'm usually wrong.

Dark Warrior Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 Well, back in the day when I played JO non-stop for some reason I always tried to use the force to do things. I tried the remote thing obviously. But also more casual things. Every time I saw a door I stuck out my hand to try and open it. My friends still haven't stopped bugging me about that. Also I teied to force push my brother a couple of times. When it failed then I pushed him. Thankfully I have grown out of that stage and have now been opening doors normally.

Last weekend, after I woke up, I lay in bed, and unintentionally stuck my hand out and tried to switch the computer on using the force. When I realised what I had done, I got up and kicked myself in the shin:)And RO, I have said 'lol' a few times in front of my friends. They think I'm doing it deliberately, but I'm completely unaware of it to be honest;)lol

Jo Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 i do the whole door thing and the stop light thing mentioned above..and i also watch the clock(digital one) and try to time just when a minute turns..i can usually do it. also when my friends and i play basketball, right after we shoot i say miss or basket..and usually im right.

Force choking someone who's really annoying me None of these things have worked yet, but...

He doesn't like Star Wars so he makes fun of me. It's normally him who get made fun of cause he does it in a group of people, and I just act like I don't know what he's talking about.
Lime-Light Posted January 11, 2003 Posted January 11, 2003 I used to try and use the force to make downlaods go faster, and I swear one time I made an apple fall off the counter with the force. And I tried the mind trick one time, but it didnt work...
