Matt-Liell
This is how it'll work. I will post a quote from LotR and you guys have to guess who said it. You must give the exact name of the person and not just "Oh, that guy that the hobbits talked to in Bree." The first one to get it right will get 1 point. I will run the thread for awhile and at the end the person with the most points will win. Every time someone gets one right I'll post another quote. Some will be easy, some will be hard so keep checking the thread for your chance to win! Ok first quote: Who said: "Good evening, little masters! If you're looking for accommodations, we've got some nice, cozy hobbit-sized rooms available."

Altus_Thrawn
Ok Um..."You shall be the fellowship of the ring." or something like that BTW, I prefer Altus over Thrawn.
BigTeddyPaul
Celeborn or the Matrix dude. Whichever you prefer. This comes from my favorite part of the book and is more or less my favoite quote: HINT: A cold voice answered: Come not between the Nazgul and his prey! Or he will not slay thee in they turn. He will bear thee away to the houses of lamentation, beyond all darknees, where thy flesh shall be devoured, and thy shrivelled mind be left to the Lidless Eye. Absolute favorite part in all the whole books. That and how golf was invented. BigTeddyPaul

Altus_Thrawn
I'll make a guess, I don't remeber that part, but I just am in RotK. Aragorn!
BigTeddyPaul
Not Aragorn. Since it is 5 in the morning here I am off to bed. If someone gets it and knows they have it feel free to continue on. HOWEVER, if you are not sure my question still stands. I will be on in about 7 hours (12 Pacific, 3 Est) to check. Remember it is from the books and I gave you a decently good hint. If no one knows in about 18 hours I will tell you and choose a different quote unless you all lynch me and force me to tell you sooner. wassup
The Nazgul king (can't remember what his name was sorry) His name is the Witch-king. Anyways, my guess to BTP is Gollum...
BigTeddyPaul
Possible answers were: Witch-King Lord of Angmar Nazgul King The quote can be found in Return of the King in the first 150 or so pages (most of the time). In fact it is right befre Eowyn kills the Witch-King. The Witch-King was telling this to Eowyn's alter ego Deneradil (or something like that) and then Eowyn reveals that she is no man and can kill the Witch-King since she is no man and men cannot kill the NAzgul Lord. I believe Reborn Outcast got it right first so his quote next. BigTeddyPaul

Sam Fisher
Yes, it was the Nazgul, or Witch-King... 'I suppose so, Mr. Baggins; but we have to say just "the Chief" nowadays.'
