It'd help if you were being at least a bit consistent with the placing of the *'s.

 

Does it matter if they're placed right next to a letter, or with a space between them?

 

I'm assuming it matters if they're placed at the end or beginning of a sentence, but it looks completely random to me :p

no, it doesnt matter if they are placed right in front or placed in front with a space.

Something you wrote points in the right direction. **** Come on, try a bit harder and you have it. Love it, you will when you know how simple it is. **** So stare a bit at those asterikses and suddenly it should get to you. **

Verbally challenged, that's your problem. **Read a dictionary some time. You can get one in most good book shops you know. Camden has some book stalls, you're from London. **Very busy, that's the only problem. **Really busy. never mind eh?
