Surfnshannon
Have any of you traded in your old systems to places like EB or Funstop? I am debating. I have an old PS 1, Dreamcast and N64. I'm afraid they are just going to give me nothing for them. Should I save these for my son or go ahead and trade them in. There is always ebay....? edlib
I still have an original Colecovision,.. with about 200 games, 2/3rds of those for Atari 2600. So to answer your question: no. I never get rid of anything. I'm a pack-rat. It's a compulsion I'm not exactly happy with or proud of,.. but there it is. If it were up to me I'd hold onto them,.. but since I have a problem don't go by me. Still having a working game system around to keep the tyke and friends occupied without having to spend a ton of money on a new system when the time comes could be a good idea. When he's young he won't know about needing the "latest & greatest", and be impressed and happy with anything.
swphreak
You'd pobably get nothing for the systems. Just keep them. Maybe your kids can play them or something. In fact, my sister took our NES with her. It's the only system she's good at. Something about only 2 buttons compared to the 8 or so button controllers now adays
Rogue15
nah, don't do that. I still have my snes, n64, and ps1. I use my xbox and ps1 the most, the n64 my sister uses for tony hawk pro skater, and i let her have the snes.

Admiral Odin
Keep them. Just because they are old doesn't mean they are no longer fun. Besides it could be really fun to wait a number of years plug them in and see how much things have changed.
