What do you think of cheaters?

Don't get me started. If you have any doubt as to why cheating sucks, play Counter-strike online. Every game admin cheats, and if you attempt to cheat they either kick you, or 'Slay' you, which is worse if you're a newbie, because you get jumped around the map, the game freezes and you have no idea what is happening. I hate cheaters.

Cheating when you are playing Singleplayer is ok by me, as long as you have completed the game. Otherwise it spoils everything.

People who cheat wherever they can are annoying, annoying kids. *sigh*

 I'm done

i would only use cheats if the game wasnt one i REALLY liked or i wanted to skip a boring part in a game. Like in JK2, after i beat the game, i would skip to the Jedi Academy level where you first get your lightsaber, cause i thought the parts leading up to that one were tendious and boring.

People who cheat on computer games are losing out. You are not playing the game as it was intended if you cheat, and therefore cannot properly pass judgement.

If you activate an invincibility cheat, you will not find a game difficult because your character will not die. If you activate a cheat to access all keys, you will not spend your time finding the keys, beating the puzzles... you get my point.

Cheats should be banned. There should be no cheats for any games. At all.

for a while I used OGC in Counter Strike, it was damn hilarious!!!! I fell on the floor laughing with my friend so many times!

its like

wana knife fight?

me: sure!

3...2...1... GO!!

I jump at him nail his face he dies.

him: nice stab

me: guess I got lucky.

after about an hour...and 50 knife kills later...they began to suspect things, lol.

a lot of those hack programs like OGC were cool though...you could make the game 5 times as bloody, when you shot somebody blood went everywhere, it was cool.

I only started using the CS cheats after about a year n a half of regular play when the game started gettin boring to me.

meh I was just trying to have fun...at the expense of your death count.

I believe the true problem with CS was not the cheaters, but rather the whiners. Whining babies turned me away from CS forever. And this was when I didnt cheat, I expected people to whine when I did cheat. But when people complained about retarted crap like "Dont use awp! No Smoke Grenades it slows my PC down!" I got fed up with it.

Sounds a lot like 90% of the JK2 MP servers that run admin mods like the Jedi Academy mod.

You have an admin running around empowered acting like he's god and if you kill him he puts you to sleep or slaps you.

cheating once in a blue moon is kind of funny. but all your gaming clan have to do it. [but like i said maybe just once in a while to fool around] I can recall a very funny age of empire game which revolved around a big daddy, a hoyohoy set of priests and some workers on steroids. throwing in some storm troopers for good luck. but only for kicks.

you can have more fun without cheating, but still making special rules. a favorite of mine is the crowbars only round of Half Life.

no camping just getting up close and physical.

anyhow I absolutely suck at FPS i get killed honestly 100 times, and then 100 more times, and then 5 more times before I am finally able to kill anyone. but when i do kill that person, the moment is like sweet, sweet candy, and smells of lemony victory.

so the morale is:

don't cheat it improves your eye hand co-ordinations

and

if you really want to feel smug and superior

play Darth Eggplant on line sometimes.:D

I play SP without cheats the first time through - then with games like Jedi Outcast I'll go back and enable realistic saber damage and what-have-you and have some fun. ;)

The only game I used GOD mode on was SOF2 recently, because I was getting frustrated with it towards the end. For me, that game has some issues that if resolved would make it more enjoyable - but that's just me.

Cheating online (and I mean enabling cheats to win) is just totally lame, and I totally disagree with it. It wrecks other people's enjoyment just so one idiot can go on an ego trip.

A friend of mine, got JO the same day I got it. next day in school he said: "are you only on artus detention(or whatever)? I'm on yavin final!"

It thought "WHAT?". five seconds later I realised that he had cheated. And he can't play vs. me online cause he sux, and he doesn't even know how to d/l mods/skins/models/maps from the internet. Now he doesn't play JO anymore, cause he "got tired of it". I wonder why:rolleyes:...

i like going throught the game with cheats first to see what is ahead of me in the game, then i'll start over with no cheats, other wise i don't cheat. i don't really care if people cheat unless it's for work or school, the i hate it.

I buy games to enjoy them. Not to see how fast and easily I can get through them. To me it's about storyline, graphics and challenge. Not blood. Cheating is for those that either can't appreciate a games worth or for those who don't know how to play. Daddy isn't paying for my games, I'm gonna get my hard-earned money's worth. JMO

yeah i like to really appreciate my games and cheating doesnt help that, cheating just ruins the experience of the entire game which is why i rarely use them in sp

and to use them in mp is just lame (unless u are just playing against bots and you want to go on a killing frenzy)
