Laptops definitely don't like Medieval II - mine certainly didn't! At least now you know the minimum specs, you can shop for a machine that you can be sure will work with Empire. And then you'll have the added advantage of some Medieval combat too...

Well, I have had three years of IT training before this (the second year of a two-year course). It gives me enough to get my foot in the door - I don't want to go to university, so in a few months it'll be straight to employment! Scary...

Equivalent to A-Levels, at least. They don't do A-Levels in IT, so it's the same level of work, just different - I think I come out with about 2-3 A-levels in the end, but no 'actual' A-Levels, if that makes sense.

It's been a while since I played them, but I do remember Surrectum has Areas of Recruitment - for instance, if you recruit a legion in Italy, it will be a certain legion, while in another province it would be from a different legion.

And If I remember correctly, they both remove the Julii, Brutii and Scipii families in favour of a single, unified Roman Faction - something I thought was a lot better.
