I'm not an admin, so I can't set up new sections on the boards - my 'powers' only extend as far as keeping order and preventing spam.
In addition, there would need to be some serious interest in such a thing for it to be properly considered by the staff - which if why a subsection for the books hasn't been made - there needs to be some existing interest (and a lot of it) for anything like that to be set up.

Yes, in previous iterations of Total war, you could see your Royal Family - you could even designate your sucessor if you felt the current one wasn't good enough.
Yes, i've noticed that i've been getting a lot more heroic victories than I used to - it seems that for every few problems that are corrected, another presents itself with a new patch.
I hope they can rein it in and polish it properly. But, at least we have naval invasions now.

Oh, yes, I can agree with you on the diplomacy - it's pretty lacklustre - and I still can't understand the 'Demand Surrender' button - it doesn't work at all, as far as I can tell - even with a full stack against ordinary citizens, they still choose death.
I'm also severely disappointed about the lack of a Royal Family - I was looking forward to having my King take to the field himself, especially if their home province was invaded.
It is getting better, but there's no excuse for the shambolic state it was in on release.

Apart from the chronic lack of employment, everything's pretty good, thanks you. And yes, I am still playing Empire: Total War - and it's got a lot better now that there's mods and patches to fix everything that was wrong (which was a hell of a lot - i'd expected better of Creative Assembly, quite frankly).

Fortunately, thanks to the efforts of the modding community, we've got a fairly simple way of adding mods to the game. Adding a music mod should be as simple as adding a uniform mod - just activate it with the Mod Manager, and it should work.
The only downside to music mods is that they're pretty damned big to download!

Thank you, even if my domain is only slightly louder than a graveyard.
I'm glad to hear you're enjoying Empire! I feel that the 14 free units was a nice gesture on CA's part to make up for the shambolic state the game was in after it was first released - I never encountered the problems others were having, but it was pretty shocking. And an extra 14 for £1.99 isn't too shabby at all.
And of course, the user-created content is superb - first thing to do was get a proper music mod - I want my Baroque & Classical, not Gregorian chants! I just wish someone would change the British Navy uniforms to a nice blue.
And I may have something to do with reskinning Hannover.
I was a bit annoyed about the minor factions just having an RGB value for a uniform, so I thought i'd try and do something about it - I really need to get back round to finishing those off, actually - I've still got the entire Cavalry branch to redo!

Yes, things certainly do seem quieter - which is both good and bad. As fun as it was at the time, at least all the stuff and nonsense from a few months back has faded away.

I thought I recognised the 'organised hypocrisy' quote as being attributed to him.
It's good to see you back!

In answer to your question - A moderator is there to make sure that a forum runs smoothly, civilly and within the rules of guidelines LucasForums. The specific rules for the RC forum can be found here.
I've been drafted because the RC forum has been without a dedicated moderator for a while, and, in light of the occasional problems that crop up, the staff felt the need for a more regular presence.
Basically, my job is to make sure that everyone in the RC Forum plays nicely with each other, and keep spam to a minimum. I hope that answers some of your questions.
