RightiousBee
i also have to vote for Requiem for a dream ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0180093/ ). in my opinion they should show that film at schools, as i believe it would scare nearly anyone out of ever trying narcotics. my second vote would be for Mullholland Drive ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0166924/ ). i like the director very much, it is also one of my favorite movies. I was traumatized. I didn't sleep for a night. Now the most disturbing movie I've seen is Schindlers List (Sp?) and possibly The Pianist. The holocaust in general makes me quite uncomfortable. Very much agreed. After seeing Requiem for a dream me and my gf both had a strange huh feeling seeing as evrything can be really screwed up. Also some more disturbing films: Lost Highway and to follow Leemu´s Kids, Ken Park (soo freaky yet so socialy relevant)

I mean the American version by the way, not the Japanese - I thought that one was laughable compared to the remake. Then again, I am a philistine B. StormHammer
Disturbing movies? Eraserhead - mutant babies and roasted chickens that bleed. Enough said. Dead Ringers - was pretty strange and disgusting at the end. Hannibal - I haven't seen the film - just looking at some screen-grabs of Hannibal eating some guy's brain turns my stomach. Ravenous - at least I think that's what it's called. It's another film about cannibalism, and it's a bit sick in parts. I think I have a thing about cannibalism... IN fact, I think I'm going to.... You get bitten = You turn into a zombie. (EDIT) Just did some research and it turns out braindead was the origonal name. It was a Rat-Monkey. and it was directed by Peter Jackson. http://www.houseofhorrors.com/deadalive.htm this is a website I found about it, Its even got some clips. Sic! The director is Peter Jackson of LOTR fame, believe it or not. Anyway by now I've realised that you guys are naming films which are you think are scary, so although I have never been "disturbed" by a film, here goes. Scary films: 1) Ringu (scariest film ever, period) 2) The Omen (before I saw Ringu I though this was the scariest) 3) Alien (it's scariest the first time you see it though) 4) The Birds 5) What Lies beneath 6) Night of the Living Dead 7) The Shining And the rest, in no particular order: Reservoir Dogs Saving private Ryan Schindler's List Some Russian war film that I've forgotten the name of Platoon
El Sitherino
oh psssh, these are nothing compared to the movie "Ichi The Killer." it's just pure awesome (and very, VERY disturbing). Especially the torture scene where they have the dude hanging from the ceiling by fishhooks and pour boiling water on his bare back. Ichi site 1 check out the trailer. Unless you have a weak stomach, this movie is definitely not for the faint. Enjoy
