Kill Bill Vol 2 (Spoilers Included)

So has anyone here in the swamp gone to see Kill Bill Vol 2 yet?

I went Friday night. I thought it was pretty good, some of Uma Thurmans best work. Quentin Tarantino did a awesome job with both movies. Oh yea Samuel L. Jackson was in the movie aswell. He didnt pull out none of his Mace Windu jedi skills in the movie but "Hes The Man" :D. I liked what I saw from David Carradine, the only bad thing about his fighting scenes was they were kinda small. I was hoping to see more action out of him "Bill". Pai Mei was cool, they should have made that scene with him much longer. I liked how they did the credits at the end with showing all the characters that was in both movies and displayed their names. Did anyone see that one of the guys that was in the Crazy 88's name was Boba? Well im gonna wrap this up and post it so I can hear from the swampie Kill Bill fans :D.

You're right... both very different movies...

Both very good in their own right though.

Watched the KBV1 dvd with some friends before we went out to the 2nd one.

Some people who liked the 1st movie wont like this one. The opposite applies too. Many who didnt like the first would probably really enjoy the 2nd installment.

Either way, everyone go see it. :p

*runs in dodging and fending off spoilers*

I've seen the first film, and would really like to get it on DVD. I just loved the way Tarantino presented though whole thing, the mix of different styles and movie genres. Grotesquely funny, is a good way to describe it ^^ Me and some friends will hopefully get to go see the second one within the next week, it looks class ;)

*runs out...avoiding spoilers again*

I saw Volume 1 around 4 days before it came out on Friday, I loved the first, so it got me to go see the second on opening day.

I thought it was an awsome movie, loved how Samuel L. Jackson made that small appearance, and Pai Mei was really great.

In terms of action, there wasn't as much as the first one, but the whole concept was still really good. I bet if I were to watch both Volumes 1 and 2 together, it would be a whole lot better.

Know what I hate about this movie:

A group of professional assassins kill everyone; except for her. You'd think they'd be smart enough to clean up the dirty left behinds(anyone living).

Thus, this movie's main character gets a big DUH

Sounds similar to that Punisher flick you're always harping about. They explain in the film why she wasn't killed, btw. Sure it wasn't a great reason, but if they knocked her off ten minutes into the movie, there wouldn't be much of a movie, now would there? So that's what gets a big DUH from me. People that over-analyze movies to death. Almost every plot has holes big enough to fly a 747 through. You either like it or don't.

You know, I really don't know what your problem with me, and personally I don't care. If its so similar to Punisher than it isn't really anything but a female samurai cock off of the Punisher, givin the Punisher's creation some 30 odd years ago. Even though she didn't die there isn't much of a movie.

Geez, I thought Quintin was bad in Dusk til Dawn. Then I seen this movie. Better stick to acting.

There is no specific problem I have with you, I just think you're a prick and I happen to not like pricks. But you don't care about that unless it's to post a reply saying you don't care.

And yeah...Kill Bill ripped off The Punisher. Because we all know The Punisher is the first story EVER to feature a quest to avenge murder  . All I was trying to say, is the very reason you give for not liking Kill Bill, is the friggin origin of The Punisher. Believe it or not, that plot is just a few centuries older than "some 30 odd years ago".

PS, I didn't really like Q.T. in From Dusk Till Dawn, as far as his acting goes. I did like him in Four Rooms though.

Just saw it today...hmmmm

Darklighter made a very good point about the unique presentation of KB1. There is not much of that in KB2. The animation parts of KB1 were really cool IMO. I personally think some of KB1 and KB2 could have been switched around thereby inserting more action into KB2. But this was perhaps the intentional all along..... ? at the end of the day, KB2 is ok, but KB1 is an uniquely interesting movie IMO

CapN, Kain...get a room ! :p

I just saw Kill Bill 2, and I must say "wow!"

Tarantino has created two brilliant movies, that compliment each other superlatively. Whereas the first was a rollercoaster ride of action and gore, number two brings back the trademark Tarantino dialogue. There are some really great performances, and a few faces from the QT back catalogue. The films are very different, but I think they work very well together, and by the end of Vol. 2 you feel as if you have been taken on a splendid film maker's journey, and as you look back on it all, you realise you've witnessed an incredibly fine piece of cinema.

Well done Quentin Tarantino! Not quite Pulp Fiction, but pretty damn close ;) Not that you should really compare the two (or three) films...

Go and see both films if you haven't already, top stuff!

I just got back from the cinema about 20 minutes ago.

I must say, I didn't enjoy it as much as Vol. 1, but it was a good movie. Very tense.

I liked the fight with Elle:

How they couldn't get the katana unsheathed :D

Good dialogue IMO too.

Went to the movies last night and saw it. I read a review about it in a magazine and while vol1 got 4 out of4 stars vol2 just got 1. IMO that didnt do any justice to it. Vol2 was a whole other movie then vol1 and it had its more QT´s known dialogues. And I must say I liked it. Great flick that doesnt need its special effects to make it look great. Some good scenes with good acting makes me probably gonne see it again next week.

Was that your eye, Elle? :D

Go Uma!
