RpTheHotrod Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 I've been trying to figure out why music simply wont work on some people's browsers for website backgrounds without having to have certain software. So, I'm doing an experiment. I've made a large STREAMING music file. I need you to visit this site, then vote whether or not you hear the music start playing within 10 seconds. Turn up the volume, just in case. Don't worry, it's not loud...which is why you should make sure the volume is up! http://www.jaguarfx.net/hotrod/jka/index.htm
Treacherous Mercenary Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 All is good Rp! Seems to play as soon as the page fully loads in less than 10 seconds.

Of course, most people going to your site will have up to date plugins. It's not like you really intend it for people with dust on their mouse.
RpTheHotrod Posted October 14, 2004 Author Posted October 14, 2004 Well, the problem was that people with up to date software COULDN'T hear the music, heh.
Astrotoy7 Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 this site whould come with a 'lite version' I got 56k, and its taken a good while to load. In addition, I have a download manager program (getright) running in the background, so anything that has music content usually gets intercepted by that. mtfbwya

GothiX Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 people who put music on websites deserve to be shot.
