Jon Stewart's Own Crossfire

I think John Stewart is absolutely hilarious, and the Daily Show is the only news station that I trust ;)

*is downloading to watch*

Edit - That was hilarious :D

I laughed at the part after their commercial break where the guy was talking about how officials think the lack of a flu vaccine means we're susceptible to bio-terrorism. I can just see the terrorists giving themselves the flu and then wandering around the nation, coughing on people :D

It's beyond even funny. I still find it very surreal that someone has finally said what he said about the mainstream media while on the mainstream media. I hope it takes like a landslide from here.

They really just didn't know how to respond to that did they :D

They kept trying to bring him back into their style of debate but he wasn't having any of that :)

OMG! This story made it onto the channel 4 news in the UK!!!!

i knew there was a reason i watched that news show more than the others. :D

Its the same in the UK, if you want to find out what is REALLY going on in politics you need to watch Rory Bremner (impressionist) or Have i got news for you (comedy gameshow). And a few years back you had to watch spiting image or its equivilent.

As far as i am aware surveys show that people who watch the daily show (not me in the uk...) are better informed about politics than those who regularly watch the news, regularly read a paper or regularly watch crossfire....

Has Jon said anything about it on his show the past few days? I havent got to watch it.

Not really. I think he feels he pretty much had his say and doesn't want to drag it out or gloat about it. However, it has come up from time to time in passing. Last night, for example, the guest used the term "crossfire" for what he was talking about. Jon then just flailed his arms and said, "that does not compute!!" :D

Jon did talk about it Monday night, I believe it was. He recalled the story from the other night for the first five minutes or so of his show. He closed it with "They said I wasn't being funny. And I said to them, 'I know that, but tomorrow I will go back to being funny, and your show will still blow.'"

You can find the clip of that on archived on the 'net. I watched it, but don't have a link handy.
