Leper Messiah Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 as a heavy metal fan i dont normally widely advertise the fact im into Evanescence, however I would very much like to see them live having heard a few recordings of their shows. So what about everyone else, whos the band or singer or whatever that you dont normally admit liking?

Kain Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 Evanesense has ONE song that I like, and I have it on my computer... ...and Brian Adams' song from Robin Hood... ...and I don't like Foo Fighters, but I like My Hero... ...and a little bit of Savage Garden... ...and I lost interest in Hoobastank, but I like The Reason.
BongoBob Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 Originally posted by Kain ...and a little bit of Savage Garden... AHHHAHAHHAAAHAHAHHAHHAAA! Ok, so I like some of their songs also >.> and I'll admit, I like, like 1 Good Charlotte song <.< *runs*
Tyrion Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 Foo Fighters...the songs remind me a bit too much of Power Rangers oddly...however Everlong is cool... Oh and Sting, because I don't want to reveal to anyone that I'm a panzy girly-man.
Rogue Nine Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 I'm not ashamed of any music I enjoy listening to.
ET Warrior Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Originally posted by Leper Messiah *eyes sith suspiciously* that sounds a lot like a hanson lyric to me!!!!!!! Doo-wop is a style of music, from back in the 50's.
Kain Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Originally posted by Rogue Nine I'm not ashamed of any music I enjoy listening to. I don't think anybody is ashamed, they just don't wanna hear people's bs about it.
CapNColostomy Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Originally posted by LadyJedi12 classic country (shut up) Same here. I'm not ashamed to admit it, I just don't usually mention it because it doesn't come up. I prefer metal in some form or another. But I dig the hell out of some good ol' Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson.
GothiX Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 The Lost Prophets - Last Train Home and Hoobastank - The Reason. Can't get myself to like Evanonsense though, except for maybe Hello. (Oh, and Leper Messiah; Evanescence actually is metal, so it's not that awkward that a metalhead would like them.)
JediJohn Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 1 good charlotte and a bit of ska. off topic because im not ashamed to like them but anyone else like kiss.
toms Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 well, the scissor sisters are quite catchy (shhh!!!) and i must admit that i have actually LIKED a few christina aguillera songs recently since she stopped being a britney clone. *hides head in shame*
Sivy Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 avril lavinge not that i've brought any of her records or anything. but whenever a song of hers comes on the radio i find myself singing along. oh an i love that hanson song... *runs*
Leper Messiah Posted October 27, 2004 Author Posted October 27, 2004 Originally posted by GothiX Oh, and Leper Messiah; Evanescence actually is metal, so it's not that awkward that a metalhead would like them.) next to Maiden, Metallica, Motorhead, Slayer et al theyre decidedly tame, and in the company of my fellow metal fans extolling the virtues of Evanescence would earn me an odd look or two to say the least. Besides theyve got a Keyboard/piano player. Not exactly hardcore thrash that, is it?

On full bass, without the singing, they'd be nu-metal ish. (Oh, and I'd kill to hear Evanescence without Amy Lee - maybe I'll start appreciating it then )

Astrotoy7 Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 yeah, not really ashamed of anything, but ppl always get freaked out when they see a cpl of sesame street cds next to my satanic death metal cds.... I just dig some of those songs, theyve just stuck with me since I was a young un.... "3 of these people are doing their own thing, one of these people are not quite the same......" you know the rest mtfbwya

I guess people would be suprised of finding that I like Tori Amos and Depeche Mode, but I'm definately not ashamed [edit] I also have to admit I've like 2 Marilyn Manson songs, mObscene and Personal Jesus, but PJ is a Depeche Mode cover anyways <.<;
GothiX Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Originally posted by Pie™ I read that Amy Lee can't sing live, but it's probably just a false rumor... Nope, it's true.
Leper Messiah Posted October 27, 2004 Author Posted October 27, 2004 Originally posted by GothiX Nope, it's true. nah she can sing its just she gets tired after about 4 songs
Doomie Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Well i would admit it to you guys, but normally i wouldn't tell people I like Movie music more than what you hear on the radio. I guess i'm sad that way, but i don't really care. Halo has good music too by the way...
