this is what you call taking it too seriously

somebody at my uni has unveiled his grand plan that when episode 3 comes out he will watch episodes 1 and 2 before going to the cinema to see episode 3 then get home and watch episodes 4, 5 and 6

i personally think a normal human being would get bored around the middle of episode 2 and ruin seein ep 3 for themselves however this is no mere person who quite likes star wars, i give him until the first half hour of The Empire Strikes Back

hah!

Ever read a story called The Countess and the Impossible?

Ah nevermind :p

I'd only do it if I had all of them on DVD and I could watch them consecutively.

Behold, I am the monster who has seen EP II +11 times and loves it!

6 movies in a row is too much. When the third LOTR movie was released friends of my went to such a marathon and then after 1 and 2 see the premiere of 3. They're huge lotr freaks, but they couldn't stay focused in the towers... I did a TV marathon some time ago where we watched dvds etc of tv series (we all had one or 2 boxes and figured we'd have to see em all). After a while you're bound to fall asleep for an episode or 3, resume watching and repeat. 16 hours was a lot...

well i guess its a matter of how long u can sit and watch movies :D i watched the entire OT in an afternoon when i was home sick from school when i was about 7 but that was the first time i watched them, so it was a little different. i cant sit through more than two and a half hours of anything without gettin a little fed up these days.

i think if i were to do it id watch em over a few days, ep 1 one day then ep 2 the next then go to see ep 3 at the movies the next day and so on

You have no staying power. :p

I saw the complete original trilogy in the cinema when ROTJ was released (I seem to recall I was in there for over 7 hours in total) - and it rocked. Hell, I don't think I even visited the toilet during the whole time.

When Episode III comes out on DVD, I'm going to sit down and watch all six movies in order.

Just like I'm going to watch the LOTR trilogy in order (in one sitting) when the ROTK Special Extended Boxed Set arrives in my sweaty palms.

I like long movies. :D

What's that movie going to run now? When I went to see it I think it was 3 and 1/2 hours... so maybe 4 hours and 15 minutes... crazy.

And I'f I don't have to work the day Ep 3 comes out I will certainly have a six movie marathon :p. That is if my girl friend doesn't drag me away from the Television first.

Awww screw it, I'm taking that day off! :emodanc:
