ChAiNz.2da
Though KotOR 3 is probably inevitable, I'll do the following suggested by the site We'll learn more about this at E3 I guess but for now take this with a grain of salt as nothing has been confirmed yet. Derc
This time however expect everything to be new and improved! An all new next-gen engine is being prepped as is a modified battle system that will place a heavier emphasis on the lightsaber. This is good news! -EDIT- Posted on: 27 01 2005 Posted quite a while ago it seems...

Thanks Vladimir-Vlada! to be honest, unless OE has a really big staff, they would probably have problems being "well into development" if they've been busy working on NWN2. Bob Lion54
Ancient Chinesse proverb- "Do not listen to everything found on the web" I wouldn't get to exited about info from a posting made about K3 from only a month after K2 was released. (Thanks, Derc, I missed the date untill you pointed it out) Can anyone here say if this is a reputible site or not? Also, when is the next E3 expo, because if this is acurrate, which I doubt, E3 would probably be the first time we hear reputable news.
Mav
I am so so about this... on one hand yea I'm hella happy that K3 is in production, but I already knew that especially with the success of the KotOR games. However, I'm and so-so about the next-gem engine thing, I mean yes this means that they will be able to do more with it and stuff like that, but doesn't it also mean that we will probably need to crack a new model format, and dramatic changes to KotOR Tool would need to be made, if I'm horribly wrong and nothing would need to be changed please let me know b/c I'll rejoice. (look at me, acting like I'm an actual modder) In the mean time, KotOR Tool will do nicely. Fred Tetra is the Godfather of Holowan.

Vladimir-Vlada
This is good news! Hope they're gonna make some combo moves and new, better animations. to be honest, unless OE has a really big staff, they would probably have problems being "well into development" if they've been busy working on NWN2. Then that means: Bioware is going to work on it. YEEEEESSSS!!! "Do not listen to everything found on the web" The only Chinese proverbs I know are: "Virtue better than Wealth" and "He who knows nothing, doubts nothing" But the one you said is definaetly not one. 90SK
Originally posted by Vladimir-Vlada Then that means: Bioware is going to work on it. YEEEEESSSS!!! I wouldn't make that assumption quite yet. After all, we don't even know if this info is valid (the article they quoted was from the hedgehog). Personally, I think that switching back to Bioware wouldn't be a good move for LA (they can push OE harder and faster than Bio, though this is bad for us). RedHawke
I won't believe it until it is on the LA site. Though in the article, 6 months or so ago, about the layoffs at LA it did mention the KOTOR III staff taking a hit as well...

They did Hawke Had two buddies of mine ousted It will be great to see a III in the series. I do have concerns however if not only do they have to make the game BUT with a new engine I bet there will be bugs out the wazzu!...lol I'd personally like to see more of a Jedi Academy "free fight" feel to it. Hit the spacebar and you can jump and the like. It would be nice to see a hybrid engine which combines the best of the Jedi Academy and KOTOR engines. TO THE MAKERS: If you can't finish it post it here and let us know and maybe the modders here can finish it like we are finishing TSL...lol All kidding aside it will be great to see a III. I think the current d20 system fits KOTOR perfectly. I think as long as they add more animations to each feat and force powers, it should be great. General Kenobi
Nope I always loved the Jedi Academy game hee hee hee I'd just like the ability to have a bit more of a control on say a flurry attack. In that series you could control which way you swung your saber and the like. I kinda liked that. But that would be next to impossible as animations would be out the door since the player controled the way the attack happened. Regardless, sill looking forward to III but I do say make sure its finished we don't like finding "parts" if we know they are there we want them
