X-men 3

No Gambit in this one? Garbage! Trash! Disgrace!

Nothing against Kelsey Grammer as Beast, he seems fitting...but in the small Cameo for Hank McCoy in X2 it deffinately wasn't him ;)

I am of course excited for X3, as Xmen rocks, but changing directors is ALWAYS scary.

Finally Angel will be in it!

Its about time. . . sheesh!

amen! He was one of the "originals" and now they feel it's time to introduce him :eyeraise:

Sometimes I gotta wonder about them 'movie folk' ;) hehehe...

Juggernaut will be sweet though, if they pull it off right...

Also noticed Halle Berry swallowed her pride (or bitched & moaned enough) and decided on doing the 3rd installment. Big nasty rumor she wasn't going to reprise the role... though I wonder if they'll ever touch on the Marlock storyline... Halle with a mowhawke :xp: ... errmm.. nevermind hehehe...

and I gotta go with ET... c'mon people where the heck is Gambit & Jubilee!?!? :fist:

I can't believe you people are excited about Angel and Jubilee. They are two of the lamest X-men ever. I mean, Angel was pretty cool being able to fly...but...that was it. He flew around.

Partial BLASPHEMY! Angel is great, but...

And Jubilee shoots fireworks out of her fingers. Whoop-dee-fricken-doo.

AGREED! Jubilee is the absolute lamest.

As for Vinnie Jones playing Juggernaut, I can't see that it would take any great acting skill to pull off that character.

I don't remember Hank McCoy being in X2, but I haven't seen it in a while. Kelsey Grammar is definately a good choice for the role. His time playing Frasier proves that.

I also would like to see Gambit. A few years before the first X-men came out, me and some of the guys where I worked were speculating on who would be best to play the characters, and Gambit was the target of some of our debate. I said that Jean-Claude Van Damme should play him. The reason is because of the way he played Chance Boudreaux in Hard Target. When I saw that movie, all I kept thinking of was Gambit (partially because of the accent and the long trench coat he wore briefly in the movie). All he needed was a deck of cards in his hand. Ironically, during these discussions, we were unanimous about Patrick Stewart portraying Charles Xavier.

Hes in the movie for all of a second. If I remember correctly, he only appears on a computer monitor. His "cameo" is very easy to miss.

As far as Gambit goes, Van Damme's voice is all wrong. Gambit should sound more like Harry Connick Jr. Notice where he is from. His accent is a bit washed out now, but he's the clossest thing to a cajun in Hollywood. (ew...I just noticed his birthdate, how unfortunate)

The only thing that I have heard Connick's voice in was "The Iron Giant," and that doesn't sound like Gambit to me. Van Damme has played a couple of Cajun roles and does a reasonably good job at it. I know that he has the reputation of being a horrible actor, but he has had some good roles. I really liked Time Cop, Nowhere to Run, and Hard Target. If you haven't seen Hard Target, watch it and then decide how well he would play Gambit. He certainly has the physique and the dexterity for the role.

You can expect any character that is barely on the screen or doesn't have lines to be recast when they do.

Also Harry Connick Jr would be good for Gambit. Your right that his accent is a lot more watered down than it used to be. But he could pick it up again easier than some none Cajun person trying to fake it.

Nothing worse than a terrible accent in a movie.

Oh, I don't know...Justin Wilson pulled off what most people consider to be a Cajun accent. The Cajun Cook wasn't even Cajun!
