Astrotoy7
It was nice to see ROTS & GL get a nod from fans....with ROTS winning for favourite movie and favourite in the drama category. GL accepted the award himself, making these comments: "I'm not a big favourite with the critics, but who listens to them?" "The reason I make films is for you. The audience rules." Its good he acknowledged the audience/fans tho....coz we made him rich damnit !! w00t ! now GL can party like its 1979 mtfbwya
Sabretooth
Wowza! Though I don't see how ROTS could get one in Drama category. Not really dramatical. Slightly touching, maybe, but definitely not dramatical... If you ask me, it should get one in... well... uh... *runs*
Astrotoy7
.... but definitely not dramatical... Sure, SW has all the elements of a "space fantasy" but things like the immolation scene, and Anakin/Vader's "I HATE YOU!!!" are powerful dramatic moments... anyway, the people have spoken ! mtfbwya
Jeff
Awesome! I think this is the best of the SW movies and I'm glad it's getting recognition.
Prime
Wowza! Though I don't see how ROTS could get one in Drama category. It's because Anaklin and Padme made babies.
RedHawke
It's because Anaklin and Padme made babies. Don't forget the Nooooooooooo! scene, very dramatic!
RC-1162
very corny you mean and its good to see SW noticed in the world. where im from, either ppl dont like SW or they dont know what the heck it is..
lukeiamyourdad
very corny you mean Corny in the way that it's one of the best yet funny scene ever ? I guess there was no otehr category RotS would fit in so they put it in drama. Who cares anyway? The movie won
90SK
RotS had a lot of good, and a bit of bad, for me. But the bad was passable, and the good rocked my socks well across the room. Thus, I would have to agree with "the people".
darthsidious666
It's awesome that ROTS received those awards, but I don't think it should've won favorite drama.
El Sitherino
I dunno, considering the drama movies that came out this year, it's definitely better. I think Batman Begins would be more worthy of the category though. Either way, North Country was ****, oscar bait at the highest level.
stingerhs
hmm, i can agree with the results to an extent. but Serenity was still a better movie.
El Sitherino
Serenity was decent. Far too over-rated, though.

Char Ell
This is cool. RotS is a great movie and as far as I'm concerned the peoples' choice counts more than Oscars or Golden Globes. The SAG/entertainment media and I just often don't agree on what constitutes a good movie, if y'all know what I mean. But the best drama? Meh. While I guess RotS has some dramatical moments it just doesn't seem to be what I would consider a "drama." And yeah, Darth Vader's NOOOOOOOO was, um, awkward at best but I'm good with using corny to describe it too. Serenity is on my DVD rental list. I really meant to go see Serenity when it was in the movie theaters but just didn't make it. I never saw Firefly on TV either so I really don't know this story but I do enjoy good science fiction themes.
edlib
Well, I dunno... I would have thought that all the warehouses full of cash might just have been recognition enough for Lucas... That, plus the entire industry (plus several others) now uses the many tools you pioneered as a rule rather than the exception. (I hope he or his companies still holds those patents...) If it were me I might have said: "Let other people win awards... I'm just gonna keep on making the biggest-grossing films in history... and making enough dough that I could buy and sell everyone of you in this room 10 times over. That's really award enough for me!"
Astrotoy7
Serenity was decent. Far too over-rated, though. werdz... Now Ive seen ALL of Firefly and Serenity for the second time...sure it's cool, but it can be placed safely behind SW, ST TNG, Dune(SF-Channel) or Babylon 5.... Sarah Michelle's hot bod put Wheedon where he is today.....yet peeps talk about him in hushed tones like he's some type of damn genius........ George Lucas revolutionsied the way movies are made and created movies that are still appealing 30 years on(and beyond). The same can even be said of Gene Rodenberry, who pioneered many innovations in TV and pushed TNG to reach the high standards it received so many accolades for... If we can come back in 30 years, and say similar lovely things about Joss, then he will truly deserve the hype he currently seems to have...gorram it mtfbwya

lukeiamyourdad
And let us not forget, Buffy was a ****ty show. Angel is better. Damn right! Yet they removed Angel... Buffy was all about a pretty little teenager kicking ass...Angel was actually serious.
