Good games?

If you played and liked Fallout and Planescape then you must play:

Arcanum; Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura

you can also have a look at Icewind Dale and/or Temple of Elemental Evil but those are more action oriented than roleplaying.

System Shock 2 is a good First-Person Rpg (very different of Fallout and Planescape) and you can play #2 without having played #1. Other extremely good FPS RPG's are:

Deus Ex

and

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines

Then of course, there are the 2

Knights of the Old Republic games that are marvellously entertaining, even though their roleplaying is more streamlined and limited than in the other games. But they pack a very cinematic feel and a great story... and it's Star Wars!

Baldur's gate and NWN set the bar for RPG's, and you don't like them? Baldur's Gate is one of the greatest games I have ever played.

Besides some of the ones mentioned, I can't think of any good ones out right now though. You could always replay kotor; I'm on my 7th playthrough currently on K1 :D

Well...

Deus Ex is good, if you don't mind FPS games.

Deus Ex: Invisible War isn't as good as the original, so it's not recommended.

There's Dungeon Siege I and II, but unless you're a very lazy guy, don't play those two.

I don't know/haven't played any other RPGs (excluding the KotORs) for the PC...

I know quite a few for the GBA that're good, but since you didn't ask...

We (hubby and I) haven't had the computer power/memory/time at home to be able to play good PC games til this past year or two, so we've not gotten anything besides KOTOR. We've tried NWN but have trouble with it crashing when starting the game so we're trying to work out that kink to actually play it. Otherwise, which of these games are similar in style to Kotor (i.e., rpg instead of button-mashing?). We enjoy the strategy/stories in rpg styles.

Why, I would have to recommend the worlds best Post Nuclear War Role Playing Game.

I am of course speaking of Fallout 2. You can probably find it at Walmart in the $10 games. Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel is also great, though its a squad based game as opposed to a real RPG. Still loads of fun for mutants 10-200 years old.

EDIT: Awww crap. I missed your second post. Oh well. Fallout deserves another mention cause it is the worlds best Post Nuclear War Role Playing Game after all.

It is worth the effort to get it working, IMO.

Now that game has a sweet modding community. Amazing what having decent tools will allow you to do...

NWN is a really good game. I played that for a long time. The only thing that was annoying is the online play - you couldn't ever find a good server that didn't didn't require you to make a new character. The ones that didn't were filled with cheated weapons etc.

I just finish Planescape Torment and i think that was a good game.
Torment is awesome. I love that game...
