Lantzen
Does anyone know any good RPG for PC? I just finish Planescape Torment and i think that was a good game. (dont say Baldursgate,NWN or Morrowind i dont like them).
T7nowhere
System Shock 2, Its an old game, but there has been a mod made that improves the models with higher poly models and higher res skins. Plus you can probably pick it up for a few bucks in from EB's bargin bin. Here is the link to System Shock 2: Rebirth
Lantzen
Do you need to have play Systen shock 1 to understand Sysem shock 2? And do any one know any good Black isle games? I have played Fallout 1 and 2, and Planescape and i liked all of them.
montnoir
If you played and liked Fallout and Planescape then you must play: Arcanum; Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura you can also have a look at Icewind Dale and/or Temple of Elemental Evil but those are more action oriented than roleplaying. System Shock 2 is a good First-Person Rpg (very different of Fallout and Planescape) and you can play #2 without having played #1. Other extremely good FPS RPG's are: Deus Ex and Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines Then of course, there are the 2 Knights of the Old Republic games that are marvellously entertaining, even though their roleplaying is more streamlined and limited than in the other games. But they pack a very cinematic feel and a great story... and it's Star Wars!

The Doctor
Grandia and Grandia II. Great games. They were originally made in Japanese for the Playstation, but were ported over to the PC a few years ago.
Jeff
Baldur's gate and NWN set the bar for RPG's, and you don't like them? Baldur's Gate is one of the greatest games I have ever played. Besides some of the ones mentioned, I can't think of any good ones out right now though. You could always replay kotor; I'm on my 7th playthrough currently on K1
El Sitherino
Pokemon Blue like a mother ****er.
Sabretooth
Well... Deus Ex is good, if you don't mind FPS games. Deus Ex: Invisible War isn't as good as the original, so it's not recommended. There's Dungeon Siege I and II, but unless you're a very lazy guy, don't play those two. I don't know/haven't played any other RPGs (excluding the KotORs) for the PC... I know quite a few for the GBA that're good, but since you didn't ask...
Rogue15
deus ex is pretty good. Morrowind is hard the first 20 hours of play, then it's really fun.
Lando Griffin
Jade empire is a great game, kick a$$ fighting styles, no armor like kotor but way better type of fighting for an rpg.
Lantzen
Ok, thanks for all the tips. Im looking them up on the internet to see some more info about them. Is Jade Empire only for x-box?

Darth InSidious
Pokemon Blue like a mother ****er. Now that's a long game-life. I got bored with it after a few months, myself. I occasionally get urges to play it, but I just look at the cover of Super Mario Land 2, shudder, and get on with life...
Jae Onasi
We (hubby and I) haven't had the computer power/memory/time at home to be able to play good PC games til this past year or two, so we've not gotten anything besides KOTOR. We've tried NWN but have trouble with it crashing when starting the game so we're trying to work out that kink to actually play it. Otherwise, which of these games are similar in style to Kotor (i.e., rpg instead of button-mashing?). We enjoy the strategy/stories in rpg styles. Bob Lion54
Why, I would have to recommend the worlds best Post Nuclear War Role Playing Game. I am of course speaking of Fallout 2. You can probably find it at Walmart in the $10 games. Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel is also great, though its a squad based game as opposed to a real RPG. Still loads of fun for mutants 10-200 years old. EDIT: Awww crap. I missed your second post. Oh well. Fallout deserves another mention cause it is the worlds best Post Nuclear War Role Playing Game after all.

Otherwise, which of these games are similar in style to Kotor (i.e., rpg instead of button-mashing?). We enjoy the strategy/stories in rpg styles. It is worth the effort to get it working, IMO. Now that game has a sweet modding community. Amazing what having decent tools will allow you to do...
Samuel Dravis
NWN is a really good game. I played that for a long time. The only thing that was annoying is the online play - you couldn't ever find a good server that didn't didn't require you to make a new character. The ones that didn't were filled with cheated weapons etc. I just finish Planescape Torment and i think that was a good game.Torment is awesome. I love that game...
