Ray Jones Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 What you want, sire, is a delicious elderberry milk shake.
Fealiks Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 DrMcCoy: Well, it's actually called "DrMcCoy-B-Gon" but I suppose it's still the same thing. Hypothetically.

Fealiks Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Wait... Ray posted before I finished my post. They should invent forums that are like... "live" so it's like an instant messanger. They could call it IRC or something.
Alien426 Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Oh. My. God. I've just had a great idea for an instant messager that you were hinting at. I'd call it Alien426 Instant Messenger, AIM for short. Maybe I'll call it ICQ, though. That's short for Incredibly Cool Quake-match-appointment-tool.
Joshi Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Hey Alien, that's a great idea, and if you say ICQ out loud, it sounds just like "I seek you". Good work.
Fealiks Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Hey, if you say IRC out loud it sounds like "I have no social life"
Joshi Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Yeah, funny how IRC sounds just like Internet, Star Trek or Day Time Television.

Vikinor Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 This thread has covered too many topics. Therefore, I must raid it. But not really.
Fealiks Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Right. Thread hijacking is bad. Changing of the thread's topic through conversation, however is good. I think it should be "allowed" everywhere. The harbour is so leniant, any other place's mods would have this thread closed. Do you have any idea how many boards I've been temporarily banned from because of the example you bastards have set? Well, the answer is one. That was for saying "Shìt off, you elitist fùck, if I wanted your opinion, I'd ask George Bush. Who would give you moderator powers? I'm not sure if you had any modding lessons so: Lesson 1: Ban yourself, weenhole." to a mod when I was 12.
DarthAve Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 You think this place is liniant? You should come to Razputin's Domain. EVERY BOARD is garenteed to get off topic.
Joshi Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 I hear the Sam n Max Discussion board is worse. And I can totally vouch for what Darth Ave said, back when the game was still new, I was a pretty frequent visitor to Raz's Domain... now, not so much.
DrMcCoy Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 In the old days of yore, when Tubesteak's House of Ill Repute (THoIR) wasn't doomed to be closed, when there were lots of hoes joining and frolicking, every thread gone off-topic after a mere two posts... Yeah, that were the days...
Fealiks Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Altogether, Lucasforums is a brilliant place where a good chat is the prority. In a place like GtaForums.com, however, (which is where I got the temporary three-day ban about a year ago that I found out about about a week ago) the mods and administrators just scope out off-topicness and "bad behaviour". The sad thing is, LucasForums is slowly but surely dying.
Joshi Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Fealiks said: the mods and administrators just scope out off-topicness and "bad behaviour". In a GTA forum?!
DarthAve Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 woah, oxymoron! And it's sad that the off topicness comes. From some boards, a lot comes from random trouble makers who say mean remarks about a topic's subject (Ex. Cheez in the Naruto Board.) Eventually the fighting stops or somthing and we just talk randomly. Or else in like a help board, all problems are resolved, why let a good board go to waste? The only things I know of here that don't get too off topic are RPG's and such. They just get randomly stupid.
Vikinor Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 Well we will prevail. No amount of Mods can come in and change the Harbour. Not that I'd challenge them if they came. I respect mods and all their authority EDIT Hell yeah you do! From your friendly neighbourhood Moderator.
