RedHawke
Translation: I'd hit it! Aye, that seems to be the attitude among the popular sci-fi stories... more power to them I say.
Jason Skywalker
@Qliveur--You guys disgust me... @Devon--"Thanks. I think." - Jaden Korr. @RedHawke--Good point, and thanks for changing the title.
igyman
This thread makes me think naughty thoughts that involve Twi'Lek, Zabrak and Zeltron girls. To reply to the poll - I'm utterly indifferent, there are enough species in SW already, I can't be bothered to think what hybrids could appear if some of those species would interbreed. Jason Skywalker
You got a Twi'lek/Human hybrid on Alkonium's avvy. That should do it.
Sabretooth
I'm indifferent, really. Not like there are going to be babies or anything... Actually, that's a good thing...
Darth InSidious
I can't really see a problem with it at all.
stoffe
I'm indifferent, really. Not like there are going to be babies or anything... Actually, that's a good thing... In some cases there could be, like when the different species are physiologically similar and have similar forms of reproduction (like the real world example of horses and donkeys producing mule offspring mentioned previously in this thread). Usually such offspring tend to be sterile and unable to reproduce further though, so apparently nature has mechanisms for preventing too much intermingling of species. HerbieZ
Genuinely, i always thought of myself as abit of a Kirk, i think i would risk the potential alien incompatibilities for a one on one with a female Gorn. I like to think it would play out like... Female Alien: "What is love" Me: "Well, let me show you" and then it goes on from there. Although knowing my luck, id probably contract an alien form of aids and die in 2 minutes.

Totenkopf
Seems that as long as the alien in question is humanoid looking enough (thus more likely to be compatible, but NOT guaranteed), no biggie. Somehow, though, the idea of a human(oid) character developing a hankering for something like kath hound or gizka seems beyond the pale (can anyone say baaaaAAA....). Jae Onasi
Especially in sci-fi the fact being that most 'alien' women have a habit of looking rather near-human to begin with. Sure, if you count a chest size of 34 double 500 D and a 2.4 inch waist as 'near human'. I think I mentioned in another thread that the only time I'd seen an author specifically make a human and another species physically incompatible was in CJ Cherryh's Cuckoo's Egg, and even then it wasn't a big deal in the book. Mace MacLeod
I have fixed the thread title... BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Hee hee hee...*wipes away tears*...oh man, that's good. Now go back and read it again, this time think: "If I had randomly flipped here from somewhere else on the net and didn't really realize we were talking about fictional alien species, what would my first thought be...?" Anglu
As long as the tweo species are genetically compatible, I don't see anything wrong. I could imagine me with a Klingon husband, for example...
