  1. 1. How many anniversaries of her 29th birthday is Jae Onasi celebrating today?

    • None, she really is 29. (I also believe in little green men from Mars.)
    • One. (I just bought a bridge in Brooklyn.)
      0
    • Eleven.
    • Eleven. (Hint, hint)
      0
    • Eleven. (Even bigger hint)
      0
    • Eleven. (Are you seeing a pattern here?)
      0
    • Eleven. (Can I get any more obvious?)
    • Eleven. (What, do I have to give you a copy of her birth certificate?)
    • 871. (When 900 years old you are, look this good you will not.)
    • Jae is ageless.

That's why we can add 3-digit numbers in our heads faster than you kids can punch the numbers into a calculator.

You're implying that's something to be proud of? :xp:

Ah, well. I guess all the old coots here need something to cling onto, no matter how insignificant it may be. :D

Emperor Devon--my mostest nemesis, roll a save vs. Force Apocalypse. Loved the camper and the 4 Horsemen pics.

I decided to roll a reflex save. That should automatically have me win. :xp:

Yes, those pics were quite fun to make. :D

@stoffe--you are fabulous and truly understand the concept of 29 forever-ness.

Now that is a sign of old age. Replying to posts that don't even exist... :xp:

I'm also glad to see all the reactions my pictures have gotten. :xp:

Ah, with 29-ness comes wisdom--wisdom to inspect the poll options to see who also had great discernment and voted 0 anniversaries, O Young Grasshopper. ;P

The pics were hilarious.

Thanks again to all--the comments made my day.

We went out for dinner at Texas Roadhouse tonight, and for birthdays they bring out this saddle on a sawhorse, make the special person sit on it, and they announce loudly to the rest of the crowd how old someone is and to give a loud Yee-Haw!!! They Yee-Haw'd my 29th b-day, of course. :D

Then I spent the rest of the evening play NWN 2.... I suspect it's going to be a NWN weekend here in the Jae/Jimbo home.

And with 29-ness comes forgetfulness. Those who vote in a poll cannot see the results. :xp:

Just you wait 'till next year. ;P

If I ever saw a 40-year old proclaiming she was 29 in public, I'd double over laughing. :xp:

If you say even one word about how I don't have it... :xp:

Ah, Grasshopper, you have but to click on the number of votes in the poll, and instantly all will be revealed, as this is a public poll. ;)

Just you wait 'till next year. ;P

Your birthday comes up before then. :dev7:

It's OK--with my kids shouting out 'Mom, you're not telling the truth! You're 40!', no one was going to miss it.

If you say even one word about how I don't have it... :xp:

Word. :xp:

Wait, this was one of those polls?

*Clears throat and twirls batton*

Carry on!

Sorry, it's still a while before I'm 29. :xp:

Given how you're virtually twice as old as me, you will find my arsenal of birthday surprises to be forever greater than yours. :dev11:

Since I didn't have anything witty to say in this topic (with my brain drained by NWN2 playing) I figured it was better to let the poll speak for itself, which I assume that comment was about. Besides, 29 is a pretty good age, one which I am intimately familiar with. ;)

* * *

But since I'm posting anyway I have to go for the non-witty version: Happy (belated?) birthday! :)

You might quite soon afterwards double over in pain as well if you do that to the wrong person. Age can be a pretty sensitive thing to some. :p

Uh... Jimbo... Are you still alive after that announcement, or will LF never hear from you again? :hatchrun:

Oh, I'm sure he'll be quiet for a while now.

The reports of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. Guys, the key to pulling off something like this is you have to pick a girl with a good sense of humor in the first place. Since it was a common love of puns that brought us together, I knew Jae would be fine with it. In fact, she was laughing as I read out the poll answers to her before the post.

(Responding to Emperor Devon) You might quite soon afterwards double over in pain as well if you do that to the wrong person.

@ED: Jae is a first Dan in Tae Kwon Do, so be careful.

Well, nice to see everyone voting in the masses... except me :(

Can we also assume she knows karate, Judo and many other dangerous words? XD

Another member of the Permanently 29'ers Club, eh? ;)

Let's see, that's Jae, D3, and now stoffe on the old fart list. :p

Heh, if they're old enough to make me laugh out loud at their age, I doubt most of them would be able to harm me. :p

@Jimbo, taekwondo or not, my gender and extremely young (in comparison! :xp: ) age would allow me to come out on top any day.

Following this statement, it means...how younger you get, the stronger you are, right? To bad the Asylum Jae inhabits has many younglings walking around, including myself, Mr. Supahrodian and RC. Never underestimate the power of an Ztalkerian-gron-kick, Fred the tamed Tapeworm and RC's...magical powers? :xp:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Asylumists FTW!

O yeah....the electirc fences surrounding the Asylum could come in handy too if you'd decide to attack :xp:

I'll have to wait a few more months to determine if it's permanent or not in my case. Hard to tell, but so far it seems like a decent age to be. :)

I suppose that's why Karate sensei in their 60-70 can beat the crap out of their 40 years younger students without breaking much of a sweat. I wouldn't underestimate technique and skill compared to brute force. But I have a vague memory we've already had that discussion earlier, even though the Force was a factor in the equation at that time. :)

None the less I'd watch it even without martial arts involved, unless you go around wearing body armor over your vital parts all the time. :p
